Is it okay to give my ferret albon for diarrhea?
It is advised to have a veterinarian perform a decal exam to try to pinpoint the cause of diarrhea. Albion is a reasonable option given the presence of specific parasites. However, if the diarrhea is caused by bacterial overgrowth or different parasites, then you’d need another medication. So it’s always best to give any medication under the direction of a veterinarian.

I gave my puppy 1.5mls of Aldon for 4 days instead of 1.5 mls the first day and .75 mls for 9 days what should I do.
Thank you for submitting your question regarding McKayla. I would give her the low dose starting today and contact her veterinarian tomorrow. They may refill the medication so that you have enough for the low dose for the 9 days. Albon is a very safe drug so you should not have to worry about toxicity. I hope this information helps!

Can the injectable albon be used orally?
Thank you for contacting Boop by Petco with your question. If the Albon is labeled as injectable, then that is how is it supposed to be used. There are oral suspensions of Albon you can get from your vet. Best of luck.

I got my puppy last Saturday every since I got home home he has had the diarrhea he got his first shots this sat and the vet put him on alban for it he still has diarrhea 60% of the time how long will it take it to fully work?? Unfortunately vet did
If a fecal test was not performed, then one should definitely be done to see if there even is an intestinal parasite responsible for the diarrhea. There are many other intestinal parasites that can cause diarrhea and Albon does not treat them all. I would recommend having a fecal sample from Koda tested to see what the possible causes of the diarrhea. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. The albon is for treatment of coccidia and will not treat a UTI. Was the UTI confirmed? It is unusual to see such a young dog get a UTI. I would have the urine tested if it has not been tested already. An antibiotic such as clavamox would be used to treat the infection.
