If she is not having any issues, then there is usually nothing more to give her except for plenty of good grass hay, some concentrates, either as a sweet feed or a pelleted feed, & a salt block. A senior pelleted feed might be appropriate for Destiny, but if you are concerned about a health issue, you should consult your veterinarian for this. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Hello. Every horse is an individual, & despite everything you might read, if Beau was doing well on the oats & hay, then that is good for him. Your photo shows a nicely balanced horse. The whey protein in this treat should not pose a problem unless Sweetie has a sensitivity to it. This is one of the better quality treats. Remember to feed treats in moderation to prevent obesity or finicky eating.

Some brands you may wish to try are Triple crown Senior, or Purina Amplify, or Purina Impact senior. Senior diets have more calories and fats than general feeds. You may also wish to supplement with soaked sugar beet. Check for spoilage (mold) in the hay or haylage

When you go to the feed supply, you'll see horse feed designed for older horses to "gain condition " there are many brands available.a common reason for horses to lose weight is due to teeth problems. Your vet, or a certified equine dentist can check and float Midnights teeth to remove sharp points. Also check the quality of your hay or haylage to make sure it's fresh.
