I planned on getting an oatmeal and aloe shampoo for Precious. Would that be good or is there a better shampoo I can get for her breed?
Oatmeal shampoo is a great shampoo for dogs. I would recommend using this. I don't know what type of breed she is but this shampoo is good for any breed. I would just make sure it is for dogs, since human shampoo can dry out a dogs skin. Thank you for using Boop by Petco.

Nikki is adorable! Thanks for including pictures! Yes, PetSmile is expensive, but it is one of the only toothpastes to actually be approved by the Veterinary Oral Health Council. (Last year they ran a 25% off sale before Christmas, so I stocked up!) Yes, it is fine to use Dawn on Nikki's feet daily, but I suspect any gentle cleaner would be fine as well. You may have to experiment to find the best shampoo for her. I have been very pleased with EarthBath products, so you might want to try their Oatmeal and Aloe shampoo for itch relief. https://earthbath.com/product/oatmeal-aloe-shampoo/ There are also prescription itch relief shampoo and conditioner products if needed that you can talk to your vet about. Hi, I have a business in making soap and was wondering if I could do a line of dog soap. Would there be specific oils I can and can't use and is the alkalinity of the soap damaging to their skin
The "hot" oils are most toxic to dogs. These include peppermint, cinnamon, oregano, clove, wintergreen, thyme and birch oils. Tea tree (melaleuca) oil is also very toxic to dogs. A dog's skin pH is more neutral than human skin pH, 7.5 compared to human 5.5. For this reason, most dog shampoos range between 6.5 to 7.5 pH to prevent dry skin or irritation. The addition of conditioners and emollients also helps.
