I'm so sorry to hear that Wesson has degenerative myelopathy (DM). It is a horrible disease that we see far too commonly. There isn't any treatment that is proven to slow the progression of DM other than regular exercise. That being said, there are some recommendations for diet and supplements. The most common protocol that people have used is Dr. Clemmon's DM diet and supplement recommendations. I am attaching a link to his website below. http://dog2doc.com/neuro/DM_Web/DMofGS.htm He recommends a LARGE number of supplements which I think is too much for most dogs and clients to handle, so I will usually try to find a good quality antioxidant and multi-vitamin to add to a homemade diet. I love the company VetriScience. Their product Cell Advance is a wonderful antioxidant. https://www.vetriscience.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=900722120 Their multivitamins are also wonderful. Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! I would put her on a Glucosamine AND Omega 3 fish oils. I like Dasquinn treats and for fish oils I prefer VRS Omega Benefits but it is a liquid. Otherwise try Nordic naturals. The Omega fish oils helps the joints and skin and the glucosamine is just for the joints. https://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=34361 https://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=24785 https://www.vrshealth.com/feline-products/omegacat/ I hope this helps!

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Anti-inflammatories need to be prescribed by your vet. But I highly recommend starting an Omega 3 fish oil which is a natural anti-inflammatory. I like Nordic Naturals or VRS Omega Benefits. Also I prefer veterinary glucomamines like Dasuquin or Glycoflex. I wish you the best! https://www.vrshealth.com/canine-products/omegadog/ https://m.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=34368 https://m.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=33709

Vetriscience I believe have a treat formula for omega 3 fatty acids. I really like dasuquin but flexadin is also good. I have not used the naturvet joint supplement but you could try it. The both have a soft chew formula. Naturvet has an omega 3 FA supplement called omega gold. This would also be a good FA option. I hope this helps!
