I bought this from the discount bin, and I wasn't sure how my cats were going to react. However, you need a tiny little screwdriver like one used to tighten the screws on your glasses which is the downside. Luckily, I found a swiss army knife of my father's and I was able to unscrew the back and add the little batteries. It flashed and scooted around the kitchen floor, and all my cats were either intrigued or frightened. After a while, a few brave souls realized the toy would not harm them and let it bump or swoosh by them. I would have given it five stars, but its needing the tiny little screwdriver that would frustrate people.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Was excited to use this. Screw on product was too weak and was stripped immediately. Couldn't put in batteries that were included.

If you’ve tried all configurations, and it still doesn’t work, then return it. It is defective.

Why do most of Petco's descriptions not include the battery type? Like this one, for example. This info comes in kind of handy when you have to replace them so frequently.
