Hello, I have a 7 year old black lab. He's a big boy who gets very hot in warm weather so likes to lie on the coolest surface he can find which is always hard. Consequently, he has callouses on his elbows but they have become a lot bigger this year and one of them looks sore. I just wondered what Ii could do to alleviate this problem. When our little goofball had it we calmed it down with water and it disappeared in 2 days. My mother bought a box of the safe-guard canine dewormer that comes in 3 2-gram pouches. Our puppies are chihuahua/pom mixes, one 7 weeks old, the other turns 6 weeks on Friday. But the dosage says 10 pounds/1 pouch. Both puppies are barely a pound, so how much would we give them per dose?
Pitbull terrier was prescribed Panalog for ear infection today. Gave dose (maybe a bit more than I should in 1 ear) and dog shook a lot out. He was shaking his head a lot and panting afterwards. I gave benadryl (50mg) to help him with scratching & sleep. He calmed down and Slept an hr. But he's awake and has been periodically shaking his head/scratching since then and can't get comfortable enough to sleep. What to do?
