Pump flow
I bought this aquarium about 3 weeks ago. I love it but the filters puts out way too much bubbles and always puts water out the overflow. I have a betta and I’m worried it will stress him. My tank is and the filter is clean and new. Is there a solution to this? I was told when I purchased it…it was great for a betta. Otherwise I would have gotten a more suitable one.

Pump Is A Dud!
I bought this tank despite a couple of reviews stating that the pump was faulty. I thought- oh that must be a fluke. Nope! After one week of cycling (no fish or plants in the aquarium yet), the pump for the filter stopped working. You can hear the pump trying to work, but no water moving. Really disappointed. Would not recommend this product. Fortunately, Petco was great about issuing a refund.

Pump is Bad
We purchased this tank for "Doug" our Betta. Set everything up, it looks beautiful. Doug is happy! The one star is given, only because when my husband plugged the pump in, it started leaking from all the seams. For the leaks out of the water, I used Gorrila glue. The ones below in the water are still leaking. Unfortunately, they do not sell these pumps separately. Don't know when it is going to totally stop working. This purchase was a waste of money. Would "not recommend" until the pump issue can be resolved.

Fliter stopped working
We have had this tank for about 2 weeks. I went to change some of the water and went to empty the water out of the filter and the filter would no longer filter water. The motor was running and the impeller was running. I unplugged the filter took it apart and cleaned it out and it still will not work.

This smart clean feature is brilliant
I have had numerous minibow tanks in my day - mostly 2.5 gallons for betta fish in the past. I recently decided to get back into betta fish and picked up a 5 gallon one of these for my new betta, Feesh. Hoping to upgrade to a naturalistic planted setup someday but for now this is just perfect, I have it set up with a heater and the filter. The smart clean feature is a GAME CHANGER - not having to grab a vacuum or a cup to endlessly carry water out of the tank to the sank - now you can just pull the nozzle up to stop the flow, extend the nozzle so it reaches out past the side of tank, and press it back down to start water pouring out and voila - water changes are so much faster! You will still have to vacuum your gravel but overall this saves so much time and is so brilliant, I am very pleased.

Can I get this 5-gallon tank in a white color?
Is this tank suitable for either a betta or a crayfish? Want to make sure the filter system isn't to strong for a betta.
- Filter system is suitable for betta's and crayfish. When the filter gets dirty, there is an overflow channel next to the filter that can cause a little current and a splash. Just remember to change out the filter before it gets dirty and you should be OK. I have a plant next to in intake tube and it does not effect my plant or my fish in anyway.

Would this tank be suitable to use for a shrimp tank? With a sponge filter over the intake of course.
- Yes, I use an intake sponge cover that I bought through Petco for $4. I have about 15 cherry shrimp in the tank because they keep breeding. Though I adjusted the flow so it's not strong. Plus, the sponge grows bio on it that the shrimp love to eat.

Can you add a heater and have the lif fit back on securely? On my other tank with a lid, fhe cord Sticks out and lid doesn't fit right.
