[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that little Joe loves this food. It’s going to help him get healthy and he doesn’t even realize it. Love the small bites and he loves the flavor so it’s a win-win.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The small bite in the chicken flavor has been my dogs favorite as of recently. Ever since we introduced this new brand she has mot touched her old food. We have noticed that she has been more energetic and has been eating more! We love this for her!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] THIS DOG FOOD IS AWESOME So my doggies just loved this food! It is perfect size for puppies and adult dogs! They love the food and it’s easily eaten for them! No choking when eating! They tend to eat too fast and choke and they didn’t with this dog food! Both Frank and Wednesday loved it and I will be swapping to this food! It’s a little pricey but it’s worth the swap!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a relief to find a food that Walter actually enjoys eating while also knowing I’m looking out for his long-term health. If you have a small breed dog that loves to eat but needs to watch their waistline, I highly recommend this!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I think the product is good it took her awhile to get use to it I think she liked the one that we tested better but she's been eating this one for the most part so I would recommend it every dog is different

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Hills Science Diet Light Adult Small Bites is a real hit with our two dogs, a French Bulldog and a toy Australian Shepherd. They are both under 35 pounds and the small dry kibble makes it much easier for them to eat. The ingredients are fantastic compared to other brands and they both seemed to transition over from their old brand just fine with zero issues.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dogs seemed to like the food. My older dog seem to have a harder time chewing it because she so old but she didnt seem to mind. I can tell they really liked the flavor and they didnt seem bloated afterward like the other brands have done to them.

Questions

1 - 10 of 23 Questions

Is this foodgrain free?

  1. It is not grain-free. We switched from a grain-free food to Science Diet based on our vet's recommendation, as she said new research has shown grain-free diets can cause heart problems.

Is this good for a 41/2 year old Boston Terrier that is very active

  1. It’s a diet dog food so you might need to increase the amount you serve if your dog is active and at a normal weight.

Would this be safe for my 7 month old toy poodle? She is currently 5.5 pounds.

  1. Thank you for your inquiry. Our Hill's Science Diet Adult Light Small Bites dog food is specifically formulated for adult dogs 1-6 years of age that require fewer calories (i.e. dogs that are less active, neutered or otherwise prone to weight gain). We would not recommend feeding this formula to your pup unless you have approval from your trusted veterinarian. Hill's Pet Nutrition

Good for French Bulldog?

  1. I don't see why not. It meets the needs of my Dachshunds and they are similar in size to a French Bulldog. As far as dietary needs go, this meets the needs of my dogs and should be great for yours as well!

which Hill's Science do you recommend for a mini dachshund ? not looking to lose weight but to eat right and healthy he weighs 13.4 pounds , slim pretty male, Royal Canin seems a little rich and is having issues with his ana glands getting full often

  1. small bites

How many kcals are there in this product??

  1. According to the bag, calorie content (calculated) is 2987 kcal ME/kg; 271 kcal ME/cup.

Would this food; Hill's Science Diet Adult Light Small Bites be good for an older dog also?

  1. My dogs are both 12 and have happily and healthily been on this food since the age of three. My veterinarian approves of their diet as well as me being a satisfied buyer.

Is this food made in the USA?

  1. Above it states from manufacturer.  Look at the pictures of dogs.  “Made in USA with global ingredients you can trust. We only accept ingredients from suppliers who meet stringent quality standards.”

What food would be best for 7 would be best for a dog that has problems with his glands in the rear end? He is also bloated all the time from every dog food I try that is inexpensive. Please help?

  1. Hill's Science Diet Adult Light Small Bites Chicken Meal & Barley Dry Dog Food. Our two beagles have been eating this food since they went off Science Diet puppy food over 10 years ago. Our beagles have never needed to be expressed....and VERY rarely have stomach issues. They are rarely itchy, have shiny coats, and ton of energy. They only eat this science diet with fruit and vegetables occasionally as treats. And a dental stick as a night-night snack. Their poop is solid, small and easy to pick up in the poop scoop. This food is NOT CHEAP, but we have never had to buy supplements.

Hills Science Diet Light Small Breed is 7% min crude fat...what is the maximum crude fat???

  1. Thank you for your question. This food has a fat content of 9.0 % on a dry matter basis. We hope this helps!
