- It is not grain-free. We switched from a grain-free food to Science Diet based on our vet's recommendation, as she said new research has shown grain-free diets can cause heart problems.

Good for French Bulldog?
- I don't see why not. It meets the needs of my Dachshunds and they are similar in size to a French Bulldog. As far as dietary needs go, this meets the needs of my dogs and should be great for yours as well!

which Hill's Science do you recommend for a mini dachshund ? not looking to lose weight but to eat right and healthy he weighs 13.4 pounds , slim pretty male, Royal Canin seems a little rich and is having issues with his ana glands getting full often

What food would be best for 7 would be best for a dog that has problems with his glands in the rear end? He is also bloated all the time from every dog food I try that is inexpensive. Please help?
- Hill's Science Diet Adult Light Small Bites Chicken Meal & Barley Dry Dog Food. Our two beagles have been eating this food since they went off Science Diet puppy food over 10 years ago. Our beagles have never needed to be expressed....and VERY rarely have stomach issues. They are rarely itchy, have shiny coats, and ton of energy. They only eat this science diet with fruit and vegetables occasionally as treats. And a dental stick as a night-night snack. Their poop is solid, small and easy to pick up in the poop scoop. This food is NOT CHEAP, but we have never had to buy supplements.

RE: DOG FOOD My dog is eating Hill's science diet 7+ Active Longevity Small Bites (chicken meal, rice & Barley recipe) for years. But I found out Hill's is recalling their dog foods recently and I am worrying the dog food my dog eating now also have the problems. My dog has been on a grain free soy free and chicken free food for about 8 months, He is 3 and has been gaining weight. He eats about 1/2 can of food twice a day and maybe a handful of dry food in between. He is never been a very active dog. He is part beagle and part chihuahua. Weight Loss in Dogs: i have 2 Chihuahua's who have been on a diet with no results. The 1st dog weighs 10 lbs and should 5 to 6 lbs. The 2nd dog weighs 20lbs and should weigh 12 to 14 pounds. This is according to the Vet. We feed them Blue Buffalo Healthy Weight and Fresh Pet. Dog 1 gets 15 grams of each, Dog 2 gets 40 grams dry and 25 wet. Both are fed 2 time a day. The dogs willnot walk or any type of actual exercise.

We have a 12 week old Lab Puppy, we were switching her food gradually from Tuffy’s Puppy Gold to Blue Buffalo Puppy. For 2 1/2 weeks she had diarrhea, still drank normal and her normal energy level. On Sat we put her on chicken and rice after we had eliminated her treats as the source. Her accidents stopped during this time as well. Last night I started adding Hills Science diet to her dinner, maybe 1/8 cup and she had a very soft stool this morning. Not diarrhea though. Any thoughts?? Thanks!
The vet prescribed Duke Hills weight loss and mobility food because he is significantly overweight (10 year old chihuahua pug mix) I know I’m supposed to feed an amount of food based on his ideal weight but the vet didn’t tell me how much he should weigh.
