What's the best animal protein for dogs with sensitive stomachs? Salmon, beef, duck, etc? (I was told no chicken because of Jack's past liver issue). I always hear limited ingredient foods are good but are they balanced and have all the nutrients dogs need?
RE: DOG FOOD My dog is eating Hill's science diet 7+ Active Longevity Small Bites (chicken meal, rice & Barley recipe) for years. But I found out Hill's is recalling their dog foods recently and I am worrying the dog food my dog eating now also have the problems. Should I change other brands OR I cook chicken breast with carrot and broccoli for her instead? or other foods you recommend? She had pancreatitis 2 times and consulted the vet and was told she cannot eat too much oily food.
I’m looking for.bags of the previous Hills Science Diet Sensitive Skin snd stomach cst food. My cat refuses to eat new s and s that Hills has just brought out. He only eats the previous kind .. can u help me locate some bags of previous food?? Thank you. I’m desperate.
which foods are best for dog with allergies and an enlarged heart
My two year old black lab has a very sensitive stomach & terrible skin allergies. He is currently eating Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream. I don’t believe this is working for him because he has terrible gas, frequent itching & licking despite taking an allergy medication, & very loose stool. I’ve been told to switch him to a limited ingredient diet, but I don’t know what brand to use. I am also concerned about peas/lentils can affect a dog’s heart.
I have a 5 year old, 75lb Catahoula leopard mix. He doesn't seem to like any dog food. Ever since he had a liver issue a year ago, he's been weird with eating. Before he would gulp his food down. He also seems to have a sensitive stomach now. I've tried merrick LI with goats milk and crumpled treats on top. It worked at first very well but now he doesn't want it. I've tried a different, more palatable, Elm in 3 flavors-lamb duck and salmon. Doesn't want any of them. Warm water doesn't work ether
my dog as been having dry skin and i was told he should have fish in his food for the oils. i do feed him science diet but the do not have fish. what is a better alternative to change his food to that comes in fish?
I'm not 100% sure but I believe that my dog has a sensitive stomach. He uses a slow feeder but still throws up. We feed him Science Diet Sensitive stomach & skin dry food, recommended by his vet. And an elevated food bowl. But he still throws up. I gave the vet a fecal sample and his results were normal. I was thinking maybe there are ingredients that my dog may be allergic to? What are some common allergies in dogs? And do you recommend better dog food? Thank you!
What is the best food for a 7 to 8 year old pitbull mix who has trouble keeping weight on when price is also an issue?
What would be the best wet dog food for her weighing 3.3 lbs. 4 years and has Periodontal desease? And can I purchase at Petco or Petsmart? Thank you
2 yr German Shepherd had been eating Hills Science Diet for the last week and a half or so... now seems lethargic, turns away from the wet food so he knows it's bad, stools are normal but softer. He eats the dry again in little bits with me near him. Reading recalls and freaked out. If anything I see Vit D toxity being a reoccurring topic. Sticking to cheap dry food, what other things to try? I just want him flushed of this poison. Bland diet? How to help his levels rebalance If it did top high
My dog has sensitive stomach issues. If she has something she doesn’t agree with (which is pretty much everything) after 3 days she has very soft mucous like stool. This has been going on for months. We had her on hyrdrolyzed protein but after a 2 months she started reacting to that as well. Now we have her on hill’s science diet for sensitive stomach which has been working fine. No dog treats. Our vet is aware but she hasn’t really told us if this is a fix or if it’s just masking the problem?
