Sensitive stomach and skin

My Bull dog has always had a sensitive stomach and several years ago I switched his food to Hills Science Diet which he always ate with no problem. My dog is now 9 years old and does not want to eat Hills Science Diet Sensitive Stomach and Skin foods. I tried to switch his food to other brands, but he started losing hair. We went back to Hills, but he just refuses to eat the canned chicken & vegetable entree and doesn't much like the Turkey Stew, but he will eat it, when I insist. The foods do work for him as far as maintaining his coat, but he still has loose stools. I have thrown away so much of this food to outside animals, because some days he just refuses to eat it. I am not sure why. I do give him the other Hills foods which he eats with no problems, but his hair falls out and he has non formed stools all the time. I am at a loss.

No, I do not recommend this product.

My senior picky Yorkie loves this food!

For my senior dog with sensitive stomach is very picky and history of bouts with pancreatitis, this is the only food she does well on after many attempts with many other brands and even trying to make homemade meals for her. Gods she did like she would eat for a dei or so and then turn her nose up or start getting sick. She is very picky and will eat this and keep wanting more.

Our little guy has a bit colitis, Vet recommendations were a senior food that would be low fat and high fiber. He's almost 5 yrs old. Any suggestions, I'm so confused about what's the best to feed, he's also a picky eater. Any help would be appreciated.

  1. Thank you for your question. Due to your special pet's medical condition we would suggest that you have your veterinarian call our free vet to vet consultation service for assistance with a food recommendation. We offer a full line of therapeutic products which are formulated for the management of certain health issues that can develop in pets. The product that will work best for your pet depends upon his or her individual circumstances. We hope this is helpful. Hill's Pet Nutrition
