Awesome food according to my Chorkie!

Millie12721

I bought some of this food for my Chorkie, Millie (she’s 3 years old and about 7lbs) and she loves it!! I did start by adding a small amount to her current food and she would dig around and pick out all of this new food and leave her old kibble behind. She won’t touch the old stuff now A big positive for her is much better digestion (no burping or puking since the switch) and I’ve noticed she isn’t itching and scratching herself as much!

Oh Hills, THANK YOU! I have to maltipoos who suffered so much when it came to bloating, itchy skin, and they would puke anything that my husband and I try to give them. They turned 1 last October and up to last week we had spent so money by going to the vet, different types of food brands, and seeing our babies suffer with diarrhea constantly broke our hearts. Just last week, the vet and a friend of ours recommended Hills to us, and we decided to give it a try since we did not know what to even do anymore. This is their 4th day of trying Hills, their digestive system is now normal, their fur looks shiny, their fur is extra soft, their energy is up and going, they are MORE HAPPY, and the tear stains are disappearing rapidly!!!! We could not believe it and I know that God sent this company right on time for us. The diarrhea has finally stopped, and for the first time in a year I have seen them poop with a smile on their faces instead of crying! Thank you so much Hills and hopefully ya'll can come up with a healthy dry beef food "seasoning" topper for my picky eater and sensitive stomach lol! Thank you!

Great for bellies, keeps my dogs healthy after trying other brands

I have been feeding this food for the better part of 3 years to my 4 little dogs. Anytime I stray off to a different brand (or cooked or raw) the dogs end up developing problems, like belly issues, spilling blood/protein in their urine (my yorkie and chihuahua girls), hyperactivity, etc. Get them back on this food we have quiet, happy bellies, great skin, coat, healthy ears, the girls’ urinalysis’s return back to normal and the dogs are very happy to eat it. I use this dry food and add some of the various Hills canned to each pup’s bowl. I also appreciate all the science and research behind the food.

Questions

Is this algo for senior chihuahuas? Mine is 8 years old. I tried to look for senior version in small breed too. I couldn’t find.

  1. I used this for my 18 & 13 yr olds for a while but switched to Hill's Adult 7+ small paws chicken, barley, & brown rice formula. The kibble pieces are about the same size.

My 5 year old chihuahua recently gained a couple pounds out of nowhere. For the past almost two years I have gave her 1/2c of purina pro plan for small dogs. Will this food help her loose weight? I will also be increasing her exercise. Thank you!❤️

  1. I had to decrease the amount of food I gave my dog in order to get him to lose weight. This food helps them not be so itchy.

can a puppy six and a half months eat this. If not what do you recommend? He has sensitive stomach and skin.

  1. I'm not sure if it's good for puppies. I think I'd ask my vet.

Does this kibble contain ingredients to help my maltipoo's little joints?

  1. My Maltese Mix ate this food for awhile but I have since switched her to a prescription diet. This food is high calorie and I only bought it because her stomach is very sensitive to food. It's a good food but I never saw any difference in her coat and there is nothing to indicate on the bag that this helps out joints. I do think they make a food for that and also Cosequin is a good joint supplement. Good Luck. :)

What is the calorie content per cup

  1. 397 calories

I'm looking 4 a dry food 4 a 10 year old Chihuahua who is showing signs of arthritis and possibly luxating patella on L rear knee. I have read that it would be good to try to get them to their proper weight before resorting to surgery-4 obese dogs.

  1. Thank you for your question. Due to your special pet's medical condition we would suggest that you speak to your veterinarian for a food recommendation. Hill's Pet Nutrition, Inc. offers a full line of therapeutic products which are formulated for the management of certain health issues that can develop in pets. The product that will work best for your pet depends upon his or her individual circumstances and is something that your veterinarian will have to help you to determine. Hill's Pet Nutrition

In the reviews it sounds as if the majority of the dogs are small. My dog weighs 120 pounds. Does anyone have experience with this product and big dogs?

  1. I have had large dogs and small dogs on science diet and I’ve always been pleased with their health. Follow the recommended for small dogs and large dogs on feeding portions with any dog food but science diet was able to get a smaller dog that I had in the right shape by following the amount of food and cutting out treats for larger dogs it did help out for their coat and their overall well-being
