Is this primarily for dogs that need to lose weight? Which Adult Large Breed food would you recommend for a 1 year old healthy and active Labrador?
- It’s great for labs to maintain a healthy weight. My lab never felt full on other dog food and my vet recommended this one because the fillers help labs feel full. I will never switch to another type of food for my dog.

What is the difference between Light and Healthy Weight dog food? I'm interested in both dry and canned food and not sure which to buy for my dog who needs to lose 10-15 lbs
- My black lab needed to lose about 15lbs, I started using this hills light adult large breed, took alitte bit of time & exercise, I also add almost half the bowl filled with water, which also help them feel full, I would also calorie count her treats or only give her half, we did reach our ideal weight, & will also continue to use hills light.
