Great Dry Dog Food

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Max loves this dog food, the bag was easy to open and has a zip seal to keep it fresh. It has no artificial preservatives or synthetic colors or flavors. It uses real chicken and is the first ingredient. It has a slight not unpleasant scent and is light colored. The pieces are good sized for a large dog so they won't choke and has a hard texture that gives a good crunch and is not greasy feeling.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a Doberman, and keeping her at a healthy weight has always been a priority since large breeds can put so much stress on their joints. This “Light” version of Science Diet has worked really well for her. She actually likes the taste, which isn’t always the case with lower-calorie foods, and her energy has stayed steady. I’ve noticed her coat looks shinier, and her digestion has been great on it—no stomach issues at all. The kibble size is good for larger dogs, and the bag lasts a decent amount of time. If you have a big dog that needs something lighter but still nutritious, this has been a solid choice for my Doberman. I’d definitely recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried the small breed dog food before and my dog loved it. But my large dog loved this kind even more. He ate it all and usually doesnt do that he can be picky.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent dog food. Did not last long in his bowl. Kibbles were just the right size. Will be buying this dog food again. Thank you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog loved this food! He seemed more excited with this food than his old food. I also felt like it smelled more like food than other dog foods which stink. Even the packaging looks higher end. I would highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is some high-quality dog food. My dog really likes it and it fills her up while being healthy for her. It’s a visibly lighter dog food as well. I would love to feed Coco more of this food!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dogs were easy to transition to the new food. No upset stomachs. The seemed to really enjoy the flavor. If you don't use storage bins for the food the bag has a very nice zip lock style seal for revealing the bag. Highly recommend.

Is this primarily for dogs that need to lose weight? Which Adult Large Breed food would you recommend for a 1 year old healthy and active Labrador?

  1. It’s great for labs to maintain a healthy weight. My lab never felt full on other dog food and my vet recommended this one because the fillers help labs feel full. I will never switch to another type of food for my dog.

What is the difference between Light and Healthy Weight dog food?  I'm interested in both dry and canned food and not sure which to buy for my dog who needs to lose 10-15 lbs

  1. My black lab needed to lose about 15lbs, I started using this hills light adult large breed, took alitte bit of time & exercise, I also add almost half the bowl filled with water, which also help them feel full, I would also calorie count her treats or only give her half, we did reach our ideal weight, & will also continue to use hills light. To maintain. Hills science adult light large breed, dry food, I believe is the actual full name,
