Excellent food

Super great for my girls!!! Just now introducing large breed adult food graduating from large breed puppy food. My girls love their food. I've read too many reviews from customers about how the new formula gives their dogs diarrhea. No kidding. When a formula is changed, need to give customers the old recipe, as well. When a new recipe is just given to a dog, it will inevitably sour their stomach. The Hill's team should know this. You need to graduate the dogs to new recipe, but money money money. Advise on the future new formula bags to integrate with the old formula. Problem solved. Do better Hill's team.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Avoid this formula

There is something wrong with this food and I don't say this lightly because overall I do like science diet because my older corgi does amazing on the ID but this particular food caused so many issue with my new puppy I can NOT recommend it. Fiest, yes he was checked by the vet. He was not gaining weight at a proper growth rate, his skin was flaky, itchy, and red all the time. He was shedding clumps of hair which is not normal for a 3month puppy. He would throw up multiple times. Had constant soft stools and gas even tho we switched him slowly and pooped up to 8 times a day. I gave it try with 2 bags worth before I gave up. I switched him to pro plan and he's like a new puppy, I kid you not. Never wanted to switch him but no more itching, vomiting, firm stools, and the energy is back! Someone needs to look into this food because something is wrong. I won't go back to this brand because of what I experienced in just a months time. Pro plan is worth the hype and I was never a fan of it but I am now.

Got a sample from my vet to try. Originally I didn't see a need to go through the process of changing dog foods, but when my pup stopped eating her food, I decided to give it a try. She now goes absolutely nuts for her food. She starts whimpering and just can't wait until I put the bowl down.

We appreciate your feedback. We could not tell by your post if you had done a gradual transition or not. We generally suggest doing a 7 day transition as this allows them time to get used to the new flavor and ingredients. This can also help ward off against any sort of tummy trouble. You can learn more on this transition on our website at: https://www.hillspet.com/dog-care/nutrition-feeding/how-to-transition-my-dogs-food. We hope this is helpful.
