What is the difference between the dry “Kitten” food vs “Indoor Kitten”?
- I believe it is the taste. My cats, I have 3.... Tried the indoor and didn't care too much for it. They it, but they prefer the original. It's rather what your cat prefers. Science Diet is the best brand for me. Been feeding it to my cats for years.

I have been giving this to my kitten for the past 10 months now. He’s ready to switch over the adult food but I’m not sure what’s the best/closest to the kitten food? He’s an indoor cat. Wondering if I should transition him to the indoor or optimal care?

I have an about 5 week old kitten. I bought her Hills science diet vet kitten <1 yr food. The bag says if the kitten weighs 1 lb feed them a 1/4 cup of food. I'm guessing her weight around a lb. I also bought some kitten milk replacer which I added to the food as per the instructions. My female kitten (6 months) seems to only like dry food. She's really not big on the moist. She'll eat a bit of a salmon flavored moist or lick the gravy off of a chunky chicken but that's all. I feed her Hills Science diet which is a high protein, high quality dry food. Is that acceptable? Should I remove the dry option so she's be forced to eat the moist? My male cat recently had cytene (not sure of spelling) crystals. The vet said he needs to eat Hill's Science Diet canned food. My cat is 15 pounds so that means I would have to feed him two cans a day at a cost of over $100 a month. Is there any other food that I could give him. Plus the fact Hill's has corn and corn gluten in it.
