[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog loved it. It had great texture and was very fresh. Ingredients are well explained. It is on the slightly expensive side but very very worth it.

Won over my picky dog!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ll be honest my dog is incredibly picky, so my expectations for this were low from the start. We’ve tried switching his food before and it’s never gone well. I cut this into small chunks…and wow! The smell was STRONG. It looked and smelled pretty gross to me. As expected , when I put the bowl down, my dog wouldn’t even touch it. A couple of hours later I went back to throw it away, and to my surprise, it was completely gone…every bite…he had eaten the entire serving. That alone says a lot coming from a dog who normally refuses anything new. Even though it’s a bit more expensive than his usual food, I do feel better knowing it’s made with fresher, higher quality ingredients. My dog liked it,so I would probably buy it again. The only real downside for me is the smell during prep.

Good meal topper option

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My senior great dane was overly happy to try this food. She even grabbed the entire package at one point. And it must've smelled good enough my cat was even interested. She definitely liked it but it's not feasible for a large breed dog unless it was used as a meal topper since an entire package would be her daily meal based on the nutrition label. The package is also not the most ideal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog's favorite food! This is great to add to your dog's kibbles! Although I like to vary my dog's kibbles every now and then (that way she doesn't get bored) this is a must! Whenever her kibbles are mixed with the meat she starts eating it instantly. Also whenever I travel, I always leave her sitter a roll for her to add it to her food. The packaging and easy to prepare are great! It barely has a scent which I also really like. Thank you Influenster and Vital Dog for allowing my dogs to try this great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Freshpet Vital grain free chicken recipe and was concerned if my dog would like it. When I cut open the roll, you could see the fresh vegetables and ground chicken. I cut off the recommended amount and cut it in pieces for my poodle. He gobbled it up like crazy. He ate it for over two weeks and now looks for it in his bowl. I watched him closely to make sure it didn’t upset it belly, it appears that it is settling well as his stool is normal and no upset. It seems pricey, but all in all it’s less per day than a can of lil ceasers which my dog ate prior and much better for him.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog loves it as a topper to her kibble. She is an elderly dog and missing some teeth so the soft texture helps her make meal time effortless. It also feel like something special without taking a ton of time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Boston Terrier–Pekingese mix, Jandy, can be a pretty picky eater, so finding a food she genuinely enjoys and does well on hasn’t always been easy. Since introducing Freshpet Vital Grain-Free Chicken into her routine, the difference has been very noticeable. Every morning, I mix a serving of the Freshpet in with her regular kibble, and she gets excited the moment she sees me take it out of the fridge. The fresh texture and real chicken smell clearly appeal to her, and she eats her entire bowl without hesitation — no more picking around the kibble or walking away halfway through meals. What I appreciate most is how well this food agrees with her. Her digestion has been great, and she seems more satisfied after eating. Over time, I’ve noticed her energy levels have increased — she’s more playful, alert, and engaged throughout the day, whether it’s going for walks or playing around the house. Another big positive is that she’s gaining weight in a healthy way rather than losing it, which had been a concern for me before switching things up. She looks stronger and more filled out, without seeming sluggish or uncomfortable. Her coat also looks healthier and shinier, and overall she just seems happier and more content. I like knowing I’m feeding her something made with real ingredients instead of overly processed fillers, and the convenience of mixing it with her existing kibble makes it easy to maintain her routine. Freshpet Vital Grain-Free Chicken has been a great addition to Jandy’s diet, and based on how well she’s doing, it’s something I plan to keep buying.

I recently purchased Grain Free Chicken with best by date of 6/7/22. Has anyone noticed a change in texture? The texture is normally like a pate and now it's hard and crunchy as though it has grains in it.
