Picky Eater Not Really Loving Food

JOY S.

My Chorkie is a picky eater. He is not eating this food. I've tried Farmer's Dog and Fresh Pet, and he is not eating any of it. He was a rescue and the rescue fed them raw. He won't eat anything other. I can't get him to eat vegetables mixed in even when I hand feed him. He just doesn't like the food.

Healthy Options

Pepper has been eating the frozen chicken meals. As she is aging we felt a change in her diet was necessary. We chose the beef russet meals. She is enjoying it and we too are happy she is loving the new meal options.

My dog is a picky eater, but he loves the beef recipe. He licks his bowl clean every meal. He loves it!

The recipe seemed like a good combo but my pup is not loving it and not eating as much each day as he should. Need to try different flavor.

Old is young again, and bad gut and joints are healed

Our 2 dogs have never been healthier. Our 11 year old has her pep back. Our Dobi-Dane mix is down to proper weight and his joints aren't bothering him any more. His gas is gone and we can all breath better.

Beef!

This is the only flavor Cooper seems to like. But I noticed a texture difference from the fresh food that is prepared in the Manhattan Beach store and the frozen purchased through the website. The fresh has chunks of beef and looks like human grade food. The frozen is mushier and seems highly pureed . . .

My picky eater dog’s favorite!

My dog has a sensitive stomach and we’ve tried different brands of kibble and fresh food. So far, this specific blend of beef and russet potato is his favorite. He can eat this everyday! And his poop looks firm and better compared with the other famous brand.

Questions

1 - 6 of 6 Questions

Why can’t I warm it up be for serving it to my do. It’s so cold, she would like it better if it was warm and you could smell it.

  1. Add warm water and mix

My dogs love this food and as a retired Vet Tech, I love the healthy options for them. However, since I have very small dogs, the food does start to get rancid about a week before we are finished with the package. Do you have any suggestions?

  1. I think the package says not to refreeze the food, but I do split it into smaller portions and refreeze. I have a vacuum sealer to make it easier to do.

When will this be restocked? This is the the only food my dog has eaten for the past year. It has now been out of stock for awhile.

I have been a customer for several years and never had a problem with delivery to Agua Dulce. Why have you stopped delivery to this area?

How many cups per day would our 3 yr old German Shepherd get?

JustForDogs--how many calories per oz or pound or cup, My dog needs 300 calories per day

        1. Jim, thanks for checking out our Beef & Russet Potato recipe - it is one of our most popular!  The recipe has 38 calories per ounce, and you can always find more info @ https://www.justfoodfordogs.com/beef-russet-potato.
