My Dogs love it

My dogs love the food and do well on it as long as I keep it at 50% or a bit less to prevent loose stool. My one concern is that the potatoes are a bit undercooked. I can’t split them easily when I apply force with a spoon.

My spayed golden doodle loves this recipe. Since it's more caloric per ounce, it's better value. It's also lower fat than the beef recipe and less smelly. Plus my vet recommends grain inclusive recipes. My dog is allergic to storage mites, and her symptoms improved once we switched from kibble to frozen food. The only downside is grains make her constipated so we need to add high fiber vegetables like pumpkin, sweet potato, or kale.

My Dog Loves It

This is the only dog food my senior dog will eat. I have traditionally fed him chicken along with dog food. He always ate the chicken but frequently left the dog food untouched. No More. Now he eats everything. He's happy, and so am I.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Have been feeding our pup babies JFFD for years. So happy that Petco started carrying this brand a few years ago. Only food my little girl can eat due to allergies and a super sensitive stomach! Thank you Petco

I'm so bummed I bought the huge bags of beef and turkey for my 78lb amstaff with seasonal allergies and he ate one time and now won't eat it. He refuses to eat now. It's been in bowl since 5pm yesterday do I need to throw out? It's 3pm next day

  1. I normally throw it out after a day or so just depending on how it smells. Some start to stink quicker than others.

How long does it last in the freezer unopened

  1. 7 days

How much do you feed dogs that are under 10 pounds and 35lbs

  1. You should go to the Just Food For Dogs website. Answer their questions and they will tell you how much.

How many servings can you get out of this food for say a 6 lbs Chi? How often would you have to buy this food?

  1. First you need to figure out how much your pup needs to eat of this food by going to the JFFD website. Answer their questions and they will tell you. Mine eats 3/4 cup a day (but a scale is best with this food). I get about 7 days worth. My dog is 7.5 lbs. I take half and keep it frozen and take out as needed. You can also thaw and as soon as it’s opened portion to individual or daily feeding size, re-freeze, and take out nightly for the next day. Again you have to go online to figure out how much your dog needs. It’s based on size, age, and activity level.

This comes in 72ozs, is that one package or multiple small packages?

  1. I put it in a ziploc container in the fridge and just dish it out from there.
