It’s always scary buying sight unseen. Well this was a great surprise. We love the perch and our macaw has lots of freedom and things to do.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great Bird Stand

LoudMouth1

I previously shared a rant about the delays in receiving my order, but now that it’s finally here, I couldn’t be happier! It has completely exceeded my expectations. This bird stand is massive, stunning, and looks incredible in my bird’s room, with its branches stretching beautifully in every direction. I was hesitant to purchase something like this online because you never know what you’re going to get, but I am thoroughly impressed with every aspect of this stand. I highly recommend it! While I always try to support my local bird shop, they wanted $1,200 for a stand like this—this one is just as good, if not better, for a fraction of the price. I’m so thrilled that I’m already planning to buy a couple more stands for my bedroom and living room!

Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought this a couple weeks ago and horribly constructed! The base is cheap and thin, can't support the weight of the tree! Wobbles terrible!!! Very disappointed! And for $467.00!!!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Cups for food are very flimsy & broke in 2 days

The way the cups are designed is so bad that they simply cannot hold up to even light use without breaking where they screw on…. I’ve been trying everything under the sun to reattach the bottom portion so it can be screwed back onto the tree but it’s just not strong enough to support the weight of my African Grey jumping and perching on it while eating. If you had a larger bird than a CAG… there’s no way it’s weight won’t break the cup at the screw joint. For this reason, along with the unbelievably frustrating delivery that was scheduled, confirmed, and then rescheduled and reconfirmed three separate times! It was the biggest nightmare for a delivery that I have ever experienced in my life. I don’t really recommend this tree as there has to be ones out there that have a more secure construction when it comes to the feeding bowls. And, once the bowl breaks, you’re left with a big screw sticking up out of the tree that you cannot remove. Really stupid design and not well executed. Here’s pictures where I’ve hot glued the piece back on.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Bird crazy

Love the looks of the stand. Very attractive but it's a bit wobbly. I am disappointed in the two dishes. They are small and not easily changed in and out for cleaning. The grainy texture is a bacteria trap. Wish they were stainless steel. But all in all our Macaw likes it. And that's a plus.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Beautiful and huge

So, I got the medium size because I have three birds (conure, cockatiel and Indian Ring Neck) and wanted everyone to be able to hang out at the same time. Honestly, I probably could’ve gotten away with a small but I do like the size. The base takes up a lot of space but it’s good because it has surface under the entire tree. It is very sturdy, lots of branches to play on and the two bowls are super cute. Because my birds are smaller I think this will last a very long time. The only issue I had was assembly. I managed it by myself somehow but it definitely should be a two person job. I also had an issue because the metal bars that connect the trunk to the top were not properly aligned. I struggled for about 45 minutes and I honestly thought i would have to return it because it simply would not go together. On a hunch, I gave a last effort and pulled the bars out of the trunk and realized they were just metal dowels and not screwed in. I straightened them properly and used a hammer to gently tap them back into the truck and into alignment. I was trying to be extremely careful not to crack the wood. I think i was just lucky because it worked perfectly and now I have a beautiful play place for my feather babies! I did straighten it after taking the picture. Now I just need a smaller one for the office

Yes, I recommend this product.

How tall is the stand in Large, or are they all the same size except the diameter of the branches?

Where can I buy replacement bowls for the stand?

    1. http://www.aecageco.com/Products/Java-Wood-Accessories/

I’m not sure if I should get the small or the medium.  We have a Green Cheek conure and an Indian Ringneck.  I want them to have as much room as possible but don’t want the branches so thick that they don’t like it

Will the small size work for conures?

      1. I see no reason why it would not. Definitely worth the investment as my birds use theirs daily. It is a piece that will last a long time.  If it does not work out you can always return to store if you have a local one.

What size would be good for a Umbrella Cockatoo?

      1. We got the 48” x 28” x 66” one for our African grey because we wanted to get the largest one we could afford. I think it would work well for a UC. The only regret I have about buying this stand is that I didn’t do it sooner! It’s great.

Does this stand work for scarlet macaws

      1. Absolutely!  I have 3 Macaws and they love this thing. I've have my tree for more than 10 years and it is still in great condition. Of course they will chew on it but it's hard and they stop after a while. This is my Greenwings 2nd home and my big Blue and Gold (she's a chewer) spend a lot of time in the tree also. Hang toys from it and let them have a good time...

On the bottom of the java base is a thin piece of wood that is stapled to the bottom—do I remove this prior to inserting bolts, as the bolts don’t support the tree—-

      1. I would get longer bolts and leave all the reinforcement you could on the stand.  It has a lot of force on it when the tree is standing up and Parrots are on the branches.

I'm looking for something XLG. Like this for my bearded dragons to climb. Do you think with their nails that they would be able to climb it? I can't find anything at least 5ft. Any ideas on a product if this won't work?

      1. Yes, your breaded dragon will be able to climb straight up IF you add some sisle twin or rope as the tree is too smooth to climb straight up. Also, 5 feet is a bit dangerous of a height to fall from. So I would highly sugest the sisle twine or rope as its 100% safe and will make it significally eaiser to climb. The tree doesnt need it all over but light wrapped with space in between. The more sturdy the twine is the better. Just to avoid it slipping with the bearded dragon.
