smaller than the size stated in the description. No good for a Macaw, may work for smaller birds

I bought this perch for my yellow naped Amazon and he's afraid of it! It's been in the cage since the day I bought it and he refuses to step onto it. Hopefully in time he'll decide to use it, but for now, it's just a useless stick wrapped in sandpaper!
