Hello, I have a female budgie named sweety.she is pregnant.what would be the source of calcium for her? Other than cuttlefish bone.....
I have a pet lovebird named peaches, i am feeding her dehydrated fruits and vegetables and tropican lifetime granules for cockitels, it is also for lovebirds, it has 8% of calcium, i am not giving her a lot of calcium because it can kill her, no fortified seeds, cuttle fish bone and clay cal, i do not feed her calcium every day, i just give it to her before and after she lays and egg, what is the right amount of calcium for pet love birds?
My cockatiel has been eating Leferber’s Premium Daily Diet pellets as a staple diet. She’s also been eating broccoli everyday. I also give her a bit of crushed eggshells once or twice a week. She has a cuttlebone available at all times. I’m wondering if this would be an okay product to give her? She isn’t much of a veggie eater. Will this be beneficial or unnecessary for her? I have a pet rat and I have tried many different wood stick chewing products. She will chew on them only when they are fresh and she only chews very little. Her main diet is Higgins Sunburst Rat and Mouse food which has hard nuts and other foods. Will that be enough to keep her teeth trimmed down? Do you have any suggestions?
