Outdoor cat houses are a great option for cats who sleep in garages, porches, barns or other outside areas. While pet cats are safest when they stay inside, every cat needs a warm-in-winter, cool-in-summer, dry and comfortable shelter year-round. Without one, you’re raising their risks of heat stroke in the summer and frostbite in the winter, among other concerns. An outdoor cat house helps protect your kitty's paws from ground chill, wet conditions and other seasonal elements while helping them to feel comfy, cozy and secure.
Browse your neighborhood Petco store or online at petco.com to check out the many different styles we carry.
That depends on your yard and property. Make sure that your outdoor cat house is far enough away from roads and motor vehicles. Be on the lookout for other territorial cats or predators in the vicinity.
Keep identification and contact information on your outdoor cat at all times. Make sure they have plenty of food, water and warmth.
Yes, you can find several insulated outdoor cat houses at Petco. The outer walls, floor and roof are insulated with styrofoam.
Petco carries several types of heated outdoor cat houses with an internal preset thermostat and heated bedding. If you would like to add some heat to your existing cat house, you can also shop for heated pads separately.

Hey How to make outdoor cat to become indoor cat?
I'll be moving soon, with my 13 y/o male cat. He has been indoor/outdoor for most of his adult life, with access to a cat door. I'm concerned because he will need to transition to being an indoor cat in our new home--litter box training, the works. (I hope to someday build a catio for him, but that will take time.) What can I do to make this easier on him?
We have an occasional nocturnal feline visitor who sleeps on our patio to stay dry. We cannot bring this car inside, as we have a greyhound and Siamese and our apartment complex in Philadelphia, PA allows only two pets. Other than offering food and a warm blanket, how can we help this cat? Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mock
Hi. My kitten is an indoor outdoor and I wanted to keep him away from stray cats. I can't keep him indoors only because not every windows and back doors are closed because they need to stay open (in some apparent reason). What do I do?
Need gromming store for my cat
I am going to purchase a cat bed for my cat soon, I wanted to take a proffesional's advise on where to place my cat bed (please look at attached photos). My cat's favourite place to nap and relax is either the bed or the cat tree, recently the bed more. When shes not napping, she spends time at the kitchen window watching birds and people walking. Otherwise she's playing and running around with her toys.
I recently moved and had to Place Most of my cats at a Sanctuary! It's on 5acres out west! I originally had them in a 10x10 enclosure! But it's so Hot she has window open and door! Most of my cats got out, but two are still inside! Even the ones that got out have bite marks or open wounds on them now!, They were all Indoor cats, I'm worried, is it spiders or rats or racoon's?
