I am building my cat a cat tree, using a branch from a tree for part of it. My question is is there anything I can use on the wood, or the branch that would be cat safe? I mean in terms of stain, or sealer, or varnish, etc. Any recommendations of cat friendly products, to seal or preserve the pieces of the cat tree, would be dearly appreciated!

Hi! We have this cat room (pictures attached) because they don't get along with Pharah. Is the cat room okay? We can't really afford any cat "furniture" right now or the doggy gates so we have a long chair in front. Dog doesn't go there and cats can still see the living room. Is the placement of food (on top of the table) and litter (under table next to each other) good? Should we add more things to the room? Also they only go out of the room when dog is away, like walks.

Gibbs my new 1yr old cat, he's familiar with the pink round platform ball trackor on the left. Because he had one to play with at the Northshore Animal League. At 1st he's would pounce the scratch not understanding he could scratch it as well, until I pour a little catnip on it..its organic, but wondering if it's alright brand? Or if there is a better idea to help him also understand vertical scratch post as well. as you can see he understands, he's not grasping vertical post besides walls/sofa
My cat’s got a cat tree that’s 2m tall. She sleeps on the highest bit. Her food bowl is on the second highest level. And her water fountain is on the floor. She doesn’t play with the tree or outside of it at all. she only climbs it to sleep and eat. She was a bit overweight before she got the tree and now I’ve noticed she’s lost weight she looks more fit. Could the weight loss be simply because she’s been having to climb to sleep and eat?
My kitten likes to scratch my wooden chair, doors,and occasionally the door frames. I bought her a wooden cat scratcher with catnip and all she does is bite, sleeps, and lays on it. Do you have any recommendations on what would be a good scratching post? Sisal rope, Sisal carpet, and etc?
My 2 year old cat has thrown up 12 times in 3 days, and can’t keep any food down. I’ve been giving her pedialyte and water mixture and she keeps that down. My family can’t afford to take her to the vet. I’m very worried about her. We have a large “Cut-Leaf Philodendron” plant that we just bought in our house and I’ve caught her chewing on it. hi i have a all black cat n shes scratching n has dry flaky skin n is losing hair,but no bites or sores, in her fur there is also black particles but not anything moving ,looks kind of like black particles,im at a loss what o do and cant really afford a pet bill as im disabled on a fixed income nshe is my companion thank you very much
