First, this is lightweight—as others note. That was fine because I planned to attach it to a heavy base on wheels. I agree with another that the shelves would probably flex under a heavy cat but mine aren’t. I like that the wood is weather proof (probably) but agree with others that the wire, stapled to the inside, could cut cats (I planned on covering edges). Some parts came marked with black marks that wouldn’t wash off. I would have accepted that if only thing wrong but knocked off a star. Many pieces had stretched out wire because they don’t wrap the door latches which then catch and enlarge holes in wire—again I’d have let that slide with a star off. But, the last three panels out of two boxes had wire that had ripped away from the tacked edge—no way to repair, and one had tacks only 1/4 way in—perhaps I could have hammered them in but that may have broken it—all of these were obviously packed that way. Tried to contact new age pet—no one answers, no chat available and email auto reply says no one will reply for 5 business days…then if you figure it will take weeks for replacement parts (and who knows if those will be ok)…back it goes (which was more difficult to arrange with petco than it should be

This thing is made out of really soft plastic and it breaks easily. Don’t waste your money. The overall design of this is nice, but it needs to be made out of something else so it can hold up to weather. Mine is already ruined after a couple months. The optional house that goes with it is much stronger.

This is a nice catio option for someone who can't build one of their own. I was able to put it together relatively easily although there is a lot of repetitive twisting required - not a problem for most people but I have arthritis (the kit uses plastic screws with knurled ends so a power screwdriver couldn't be used). The screen does have spots where it was cut that are sharper than I would like - I would have preferred the kit to assemble with the screen on the outside so there would be no risk of cats hurting themselves on it. It sturdy enough to withstand cats jumping from shelf to shelf but it flexes easily. The instructions call for it to be disassembled and cleaned on a regular basis but I have my doubts on how well it will hold up to that. My cats are enjoying spending time in the fresh air and sunshine.
