Shop Petco’s full-range of heated dog beds and dog heating pads to help your furry-friend fall into a deep and restorative sleep during cold nights. You may find your pooch could benefit from a heated dog bed if you notice them gravitating to the closest warm grate or sunny spot whenever they get chilly. Heated dog beds are especially helpful if you have an elderly pet with arthritis or other joint issues. The warmth from a heated mat or bed helps increase circulation to promote healing in deteriorating muscles and joints.
Yes, heated dog beds are generally safe for dogs when used correctly. The bed should not be too hot or overheat, as this can be dangerous for your pet. It's important to make sure the temperature is set correctly, and that the bed is not placed in an area where your pet can lay on it for too long.
Heated dog beds use an internal electric heating element to warm up the bed. The temperature can be adjusted using a thermostat or via a remote control, and the bed will remain at the desired temperature until it is manually adjusted or timed off.
The best heated dog bed will depend on your pet's size and needs. Consider a bed with an adjustable temperature control, a removable heating element for easy cleaning, and a waterproof or water-resistant liner to protect the bed from accidents. Additionally, some beds feature self-regulating technology that automatically adjusts the temperature based on the dog's body temperature.

My dog just had puppies, can I use a heating pad to help keep them warm?
I have a dog house with carpet over front entrance and a heated pet pad I bought from a hardware store. It seems warm and the 8 month old beagle goes in it but how cold is to cold for a four hour length outside while I work? He seems happy and the pad feels warm when I test it.
I just bought a igloo dog house for my two doggies, so they have somewhere to be when it’s cold. My dogs are inside when I’m home but outside when I’m not so while I’m at work they’re outside and it’s been getting really cold lately. Hence to why I bought this dog house, but I had a question, could I put heating blankets inside the dog house? I was looking into a heating box but there really expensive. Would heating blankets keep them warm? if you have any other options please let me know please
Did my dog burn his pad
Just wanting to know am I able to use a reptile heat lamp for newborn puppies??
What type of bed would you suggest for my miniature dachshund? She is 3 1/2 months old. She gets cold easily & sleeps w/ me in my bed. She always loves cuddling with me whever I am if on the couch resting, etc. I always have a small blanket & she loves for me to cover her up totally.. She crawls under it & goes to sleep!
2 day old pups, mum and babies doing great, she's doing a great job. But from the startshe's had to feed them on a quilt on the floor as every single time she enters the whelping box she's trapping them under the blanket then sitting on them, she digs it out from under the rails and completely covers them. Through the day I leave them with her all day on the quilt with the heating on low. My question is can my girl overheat being next to the radiator. Pups are good temp just worry for her
We've had no power due to a nor'easter and our house dipped down in the 40's last night. Today we went out and bought a kerosene heater with K-1 fuel (klean heat kerosene from Lowes). We have it in about an 850 sq ft area with 3 windows cracked for ventilation. My dog seems to not want to be in the area where the heater is...Are dogs more sensitive to any fumes given off by kerosene heaters?
We use a red heating lamp at times for our poodle. Is it okay?

I moved over the summer and my dog has been in my new apartment since the middle of July. Now that the weather is cooler, our heat is on. We live in an older place with big radiators that sometimes make a clinking sound. It’s not very loud, but it makes Diesel freak out. He will be awake all night pacing and panting and crying and drooling. This past week he was so stressed and anxious he peed and pooped the floor. Is there anything over the counter that I could give him at night to help him?
