The outside of the bed is poly/cotton and the inside is lined in soft microfleece. The pillow has a layer of metalized insulation that radiates warmth generated from the pets own body heat. A cozy lounge bed that every pet will love. Completely machine washable. Filled with premium polyfil made from recycled plastic bottles. The bottom of bed has a layer of "stay-put" non-slip fabric for stability.

I purchased the green one with the Yorkie in it for my Yorkie about 5 years ago. We just had to put him down at 15-1/2. The last 6 months we must have washed this bed 50 times due to his medical issues. The bed looks as GOOD AS IT DID when I first purchased it. Impressed does not explain our happiness with this product. Over the years and several dogs I can honestly say that NO OTHER BED PERFORMED LIKE THIS ONE! I am going to purchase a new bed for my younger and larger dog as she needs a new bed.

Improved catnaps
I just purchased my 3rd self-warming lounge sleeper. I had 2 already, but now have 3 cats. And now that I am working from home due to the pandemic, all 3 cats are frequently in my office with me, napping in these comfortable beds! This product is obviously cat approved.

Nice bed for small dog
We were looking for a nice but not too big bed for our dog. This was soft, fluffy, and our dog loves it. Easy to clean and not too expensive. Great purchase

Self warming sleeper
My adult cats and foster kittens all love the self warming sleeper. No heating pad needed! it is durable and washable, and attractive. I have one that is several years old and it still looks new.

Good bed, just one minor issue
Our pup loves the bed. After a week or so, one of the sides started lifting up off the ground. She’s only 7 lbs. I do like the non skid pad and she seems to really like it.

Is the cover removable?
- No it isn’t but, the whole bed is machine washable and dryable.

My dog likes to chew/destory EVERYTHING that is filled with anything! Can this bed be easily ripped?!
- Definitely it is filled with the fiber that most dog beds have and the fabric is not chewed/ripped resistant. Sorry to hear that your pooch destructive habit.

- It depends on the size of your dog. Here are the sleeping surface dimensions for each size: Small – 10" L x 11.5" W. Medium – 19" L x 30" W. Large – 26" L x 35" W.

Would this be good to use in a feral cat shelter?
- It depends on the temperature of the cat shelter. While our self-warming products are great for the indoors, they are not designed to return enough body heat for the cold outdoor temperatures of winter. Rather, they are designed to elevate the temperature of a pet bed that is already around room temperature. For outdoor pets, we recommend using the Lectro-Soft Outdoor Heated Bed, Lectro-Kennel, or Extreme Weather Kitty Pad. These are made for the outdoors and will provide enough heat for an outdoor setting during the cold winter month.
