Our dog is about 8 lbs. at first she didn't like the crinkle sound it makes so she stayed away. After I put her in it a few times and had it next to my feet she then got use to it. I now find her in this bed every morning and when I arrive home and she is still sleeping I know I can find her in this bed. Even in the summer it is cozy while she loves to lay in the sun - not too hot! She has 3 other beds through out the house - this is her favorite when know one is around.

Bought the medium for our two cats, they are big kitties and need room. They avoided it at first, because the reflective layer make a little crinkling sound when they step on it, and it was warm weather. As soon we started to have a slight chill at night, they were found sleeping on it every morning. I took some of the padding out, the padding amount would be great for a medium sized dog, but it peaked a little too much in the center for two cats. They liked it better when the pad was flatter.
