Why does my cat always meow and purr when I arrive home for attention?

These are pretty common behaviors for a young cat. Cats are often nocturnal/playful at night, and the its very rare for cats to greet their people when they come home. As far as following you around, and crying for you when you're gone, you are probably her favorite person! I don't think you have anything to worry about with her. You can add some environmental enrichment things to help keep her occupied/ entertained, and this may help. Halley is still young and likely will show more affectionate behaviors. Signs that an animal cares for or loves you are: vocalizing when they see you, following you around, seeking you out for attention, purring and kneading when pet. I am sure she does love you! That is very cute! Some cats like the sound of their own voice, or she may be making the noise to get your attention to you to play with her and her favorite toy. As long as she is eating and drinking normally, using the litter box normally, and behaving normally, I would view this as a cute little quirk of hers and I would not worry about it :-)

That is normal behavior. I think she is happy to be with you and inside and is rubbing her face on you and the wall as a comfort expression. Most cats like to be rubbed on the face, around the ears and under the chin so try that when she comes in and she'll probably start purring. I would first recommend taking Marley to the vet make sure he is healthy. Some cats will become more affectionate when they are sick or not feel well. Second I would recommend increasing toy and activity in the house. He could be getting bored so he is trying to play/interact with you more. They do make toys that can hide treats in them. You can try and hid toys around the house so he has to go find them. Increasing his activity will really help in this situation

Hi, normally miawing is a sign of a cat wanting to initiate social interaction. It would not indicate that the cat is upset at the luggage. Does Susan spend some time playing on her own or with yourself on a daily basis ? This is something that might be looking at, and you could consider changing the way you feed her using more feeding puzzles for example.
