Why does my cat adore it when I sing to her? Is this normal?

That is very cute! Some cats like the sound of their own voice, or she may be making the noise to get your attention to you to play with her and her favorite toy. As long as she is eating and drinking normally, using the litter box normally, and behaving normally, I would view this as a cute little quirk of hers and I would not worry about it :-)

Hello. I have a male cat that does this periodically with a small toy. It is a peculiar meow & when I hear it he always has this small toy in his mouth. In his case, this is probably the call to inform all around him that he is bringing home dinner. I always tell him how proud I am with him. I have also observed an outside cat that has caught a small prey animal do the same thing. With Sarah, it is probably something similar in that she is "announcing" that she has caught the scrunchie. This may also be a maternal behavior. Regardless, it is very normal for a cat to vocalize with a toy or soft object. Just make sure the scrunchie is unable to be swallowed by your cat. Yes, cats love to curl up on people or touching them especially when it’s cold. My male cat is very vocal and he talks when he wants something so that is probably what going on with yours. If you open the window when she talks she may have learned to meow when she wants more air. Sounds like a smart cat to me! HI, thanks for using PetCoach! Sadly this is a very common complaint. It is normal for cats to be vocal early in the morning, especially around the times they know that people get up. Despite appearing to not want your attention there is probably comfort for her knowing you are around. It is likely due to loneliness or boredom. Since she is already confined, you should enrich her environment. Be sure there is an open window to look out, consider putting a bird feeder there so she can watch the birds, get a cat tree for her to climb, etc. You can also close your door and use a noise machine or box fan to drown out her crying. That sounds like normal cat behavior. She is very comfortable with you and loves you. If you can't have her bothering you, like when you are practicing piano, it is best to put her in another room until you are done. I don't think there is anything wrong with her as long as she is eating, drinking, peeing and pooping normally.

These are pretty common behaviors for a young cat. Cats are often nocturnal/playful at night, and the its very rare for cats to greet their people when they come home. As far as following you around, and crying for you when you're gone, you are probably her favorite person! I don't think you have anything to worry about with her. You can add some environmental enrichment things to help keep her occupied/ entertained, and this may help.
