At Petco we have plenty of delicious, nutritious turtle and tortoise food choices to help your pet thrive at every age and stage of life.
Depending on their species, your pet may prefer to snack on shrimp, feast on fruit, or devour green, leafy veggies. But whatever tempts their palate, keep in mind that all turtles and tortoises require a well-balanced diet. And that means you’ll need to supplement with commercial foods that are specially formulated to meet your pet’s unique nutritional needs.
Turtles are omnivores, so they enjoy vegetables as well as protein-rich snacks like worms or insects. But that should only make up about 40-60% of their diet. The rest should consist of commercial turtle food that’s formulated with their specific nutritional needs in mind, to ensure a completely balanced diet.
Petco has a wide selection of turtle food options to fit your pet’s specific nutritional needs, from pelleted commercial foods and freeze-dried insects to live mealworms and crickets for snacking.
That depends on your turtle’s species and stage of life. Most turtles need to be fed daily as juveniles, whereas some adults can be fed every other day. But all turtles need access to fresh water every day. Talk to your veterinarian about your pet’s specific dietary needs and feeding schedule.

Do Indian Flapshell turtle hibernate and what to do when it is not eating the food provided ?
I am not sure of my turtles age. I have had her for 3 yrs. Dosen't seem to be growing and I'm concerned about the underneath shell. Looks like it is splitting. She is in a 10 gal tank always by the window for sun. Is the tank to small? She eats well, super worms, tomatoes, grapes and strawberries some lettuce.
My red eared slider is like 1 year and few months old. Her weight is 38 g. Firstly Is this an ideal weight for a turtle of this age? Secondly, how many grams of commercial pellets should I provide her? I want these two questions to be answered briefly. Give me the numerical values. Thank you
Do you treat tortoises
My pet red eared slider Snappy is always sleeping and doesn't eat it's food pellets that I gave him. He runs towards the dry area when I put him in the water and he floats. I have seen some very small worms when I put him in the water.
Hello, My RES's eyes were swollen for last 5 - 6 days, But now they look fine but still not eating as usual, environment condition is same as before and I am giving taiyo turtle food.
What are some of the best staple feeders to give a baby, juvenile and adult bearded dragon?
I have a 1 year old turtle and I have had him for a few months. I keep his tank clean and give him food on a daily basis. He has a basking place and light. I recently found worms in his tank and I'm concerned if they're from his food or him bc I never noticed them before, I have also noticed he's having diarrhoeadia and hasn't been eating alot. I cleaned his tank and threw away the new food I had given him. I would furthermore like to know how to treat this and whether this is caused by his food
Why isn't my turtle basking? He is just swimming in the water
Pilu she is an Indian roofed turtle. Not taking food for last 3 days & there is no activity. She is sitting in a same position for day long. If I am keeping her in water then she will be there for the whole day and same thing will happen if I shall keep her on basking area. For last two months she is with me and was very active & curious. But now she is totally lethargic for a small movement too. There is no sign of any external diseases. Nose/eyes are ok. Here is no reptiles specialist.Plz help
excuse me, my turtle have been pooping out some white poop and there's white small almost indistinguishable worms in her tank. I've been feeding her pellets and only recently ( only like 2 days ) trying to feed her some lettuce. I'm very worried. She's also been staying still in the day. She usually likes to swim around but not since I've seen the white worms. Do you know what perhaps happened so me and my friend can take care of it and be less worried?
I have an Indian roofed turtle it has white patches on its top shell and also it has (fungus colour) green coloured patches on starting and ending of the top shell the pattern of on its bottom shell is also fading from a spot , maybe it is shedding its skin from there.I keep the turtle in a tub with normal water and and I keep it in my room I also give him 1 to 2 hours for basking in the sun .
