Place 10-20 pellets in a shallow dish away from any heat source to prevent pellets from drying out. Adjust the amount offered depending on the appetite and/or needs of your reptile. Adding a small amount of water to feeding dish (just enough to cover bottom of dish) will help food remain moist longer. Remove uneated food after 12 hours. Can be used as salad topper.

My painted turtle loves this. Yes they sink, but i just feed them by hand and he loves them. A great addition to a varied diet.

This food sinks, doesn't float.

I was interested in the variety of ingredients and the soft pellet concept, but these pellets sink straight to the bottom of the tank. I've never seen aquatic turtle food that doesn't float, and unsurprisingly my turtle wasn't interested. What a bizarre product.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Good ingredients, but my Musk turtle didn't like

The Musk turtle I'm caring for has been a carnivore for all of her 36 year life. I've been trying to switch up her diet with more variety and plant matter. So I think that's why she didn't like these - too much plant matter.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Weird food

I picked these up thinking it might be a nice change from my painted turtle's usual food and because it seemed like a nice mix of ingredients. But I knew it wouldn't be a good food as soon as I opened the bag. The pellets are damp and immediately sink to the bottom of the tank. They also give off kind of a funky scent. My turtle seemed interested in them at first but after that first feeding, he just ignores them. Because they sink, and he's used to his food floating, he also just doesn't get to them unless he's scavenging and desperate. Didn't work for my little guy.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I left this product out over night. Is still safe to use?

  1. Yes

Would an African Side-neck turtle be able to eat these on a weekly basis? I am having trouble getting him to eat nonfloating food and soft pellets and was wondering if this would be a healthy option, along with fresh veggies and live insects.

  1. Yes, I had one a while ago till I had to rehome her and this was the only pellet I could get her to eat and it has great quality

Would an African Side-neck turtle be able to eat these on a weekly basis? I am having trouble getting him to eat floating food and hard pellets and was wondering if this would be a healthy option, along with fresh veggies and live insects.

  1. Hello I have a sideneck turtle and this is the only food he likes! My guy doesn't like floating food either. Which these sink. Definitely give it a try. Most side neck turtles are picky eaters

how long do they last once opened

  1. I keep this food in the refrigerator after I open the bag but my aquatic turtle finishes a bag every 3 weeks. She loves the moist food and won't eat dry pellets anymore.
