Turtle likes it

Dropped one of the blocks in the tank and my turtle watched it sink to the bottom. Slowly, he approached it and sniffed it and swam away. This cycle repeated a half dozen times. I came back 6 hours later and I noticed chunks of it missing. The next day, most of it was gone so I know he likes it. Will see how it goes with the remaining blocks.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Best Calcium Supplement For my Red Eared Slider

My turtle "ollie" loves Zoo Med Banquet Blocks! He goes to town on those things. Way better than the floating Turtle Bones. He would nibble on it and ignore it. I finally found a calcium supplement that he will actually eat and it lasted him only about 4 days until it was entirely gone. Im so happy I found these Banquet Blocks! My red eared slider is super happy with them. Plus its not JUST a calcium supplement, it has food in it as well! Love it!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Questions

1 - 6 of 6 Questions

I am going on Vacation for a week, will this keep my turtle feed until I return?

  1. Yes, he should be fine. I have left our red necked slider (fully grown) for a week without outside help with a med block and several live feeder fish on the day that we leave. I feed him frozen silversides two days before we leave. On a regular basis, I only feed him the fish every 3 or 4 days. I feed him tender dandelion leaves/other edible leaves/berries in between the other days. Turtles are very resilient.

If I feed my turtle banquet block can I feed my turtle pallets also

  1. Yes. I feed my turtle pellets and mealworms in addition to the banquet block. It's my understanding that would just be a supplement.

Can I use this to feed my mystery snails? To give them calcium and food since there's also spirulina in it?

  1. Yes, definitely. Plus lots of calcium for them

Will this be floating in water? As my baby is used to floating food. And can I feed it to a 6 month old yellow belly turtle?

  1. This will submerge in the water. Feeding wise will depend on your turtle. But it has a lot of calcium which should be good for it.

Do these blocks expire or go bad?

  1. No. We have had a few for over 4 years and they are fine. As long as they are kept sealed and dry, you should be fine.

Is this food something they can eat on for a couple days?

  1. the zoo med banquet block my 2 red eared sliders love it and dont even eat a quarter a day you should be good with this
