Why does my husky have red spots in his eyes after vomiting?

If Luna has blue eyes this could be normal Variance. However, if you have not seen these spots before and if the become bigger or increase in number you should take Luna back to the veterinarian who did the spay. He can have an eye infection, but he may also have gotten dust in his eyes. If he recently was around other dogs I recommend bringing him to a veterinarian since it can be pink eye. All I can see is that the eye is red and he is squinting it a little. It could be due to an injury to the cornea or some type of trauma. I highly recommend you have him to your vet for an exam. The eye needs to be checked with an ophthalmoscope and have a stain test - obviously we can only tell so much from a photo. It could be that Sky has a subconjunctival hemorrhage. While those do heal on their own, the eye has to be examined by a vet right away to make sure there isn't any damage to the rest of the eye. Because subconjunctivial hemorrhages can be caused by trauma, which you think may have happened here with thorns or something similar, her eye needs to be checked for any other signs of trauma. The eye is such a delicate and important structure that any problem with it is considered an emergency. That's because leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. I would take Sky into a vet now to have her eye examined and treated if necessary.

Without doing an exam and looking at the eye, it is hard to say what is going on with Spots' eye. If he starts squinting, that is a sign of pain. It's possible there is a wound near the eye that is causing blood to accumulate in the eye. He also could have an ulcer, foreign material in the eye, or even inflammation of the 3rd eyelid. I would recommend you take Spots in to see your vet to see if he needs medication for his eye.

Huskies are certainly able to overheat more easily than other breeds due to their thick coat. All of the clinical signs could potentially be related to something like that as well, but could be an indication of something entirely different. If there has only been episode of vomiting and some mild lethargy, I don't think it is entirely unreasonable to take a wait and see approach. If the rapid breathing becomes even more labored or Midna actually appears to be in any true distress, I would not delay and would take her into the veterinarian as soon as possible. As of now, it sounds like she's still eating, drinking, and functioning pretty normally. Keep a close eye on Midna, particularly the breathing, and should it worsen have her looked at right away.
