My puppy's eye problem: Tobrex isn't helping. Is it entropion?

This could be due to an eye injury or conditions such as a corneal laceration, corneal ulcer, conjunctivitis, dry eye (also known as KCS), among many other conditions. Since Toby has not improved on his medications, I highly recommend that you have Toby reevaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They can attempt a different course of therapy or possibly refer you to an eye specialist. Further therapy would be based on the findings. Good luck and best wishes!

Is it possible that Luffy is rubbing his face and rubbing the fur around his eyes? If he is keeping his eyes closed and they are tearing excessively (which I would expect with entropion), then I would recommend having your veterinarian examine him again. Unfortunately, there isn't any good treatment for entropion other than surgery, but I'm not sure that is what is going on with him. It is common that the mucous membranes around the eyes and nose will change color in puppies as they age, so that is also a possibility. If Luffy is rubbing or scratching his eyes excessively, I would recommend having your veterinarian examine him again. Hello and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It's a bit difficult to say for sure from the picture but it does look like Turbo's eyes are still having an issue. It may be helpful for you to post more information about Turbo's history and if the tobramycin is being used to treat conjunctivitis or a corneal ulcer. It looks to me like Turbo should be rechecked by a veterinarian to see if another medication is warranted. Good luck to you and Turbo!

It appears he may have an entropion. This is where the eyelids roll inward so the hair and lashes can scratch the eye and cause irritation. This maybe secondary to confirmation or secondary from swelling. Your vet can check for an ulcer and hopefully prescribe anti inflammatory meds if there is not one. From there, they will check for dry eye and discuss surgery to fix the entropion to provide permanent relief

If Teddi's surgery was just yesterday, he will still have some swelling in the eyelid from the surgery, which will make the eyelid look droopier (swelling will push the lower eyelid away from the eye). It should improve as the swelling goes down. Keep giving him the medication prescribed by your vet, and schedule a recheck for a week out from surgery to make sure he's healing appropriately. My suspicion is this will look significantly better in a week! Hope this helps!

What you are describing sounds like entropion (the eyelid rolls inward) but this typically doesn't occur as dogs age. I would recommend bringing Milo to a veterinarian to have them evaluate his eyes and see if there is a scratch or infection so it can be properly treated. I’m sorry but I can’t tell much from the photos. Are you worried about the third eyelids covering the eyes? Or is the problem with the eyeballs themselves? Can you tell me what diagnosis your vet gave you? Did he give you any medications to use? How long has this problem been like this? Are there any other symptoms? Please post again with more information.
