My dog ate soap, now peeing a lot and having accidents. Is it related?

This would be a separate issue. Xylitol poisoning occurs within 15-30 minutes of ingestion. I suspect that Kiwi having pee accidents in the house may be caused by a UTI or bladder stones. I'd take her into the vet today to have this checked out. Best of luck.

HE isn't likely to be blocked, the vomiting and diarrhea is to be expected due to the ingestion of the soap. as long as he is eating normally and is energetic you have no reason to suspect a blockage. stools may only appear after 48 hours due to the diarrhea that probably cleaned the whole intestines.

You don't indicate whether Opal is spayed or not, but I would add that urination while sleeping is often a sign of a condition called hormonal incontinence (also "spay incontinence") which is caused by the lack of estrogen that happens once we spay dogs. I would definitely get her checked out as she may have a UTI as Dr. Melanie indicated, or an incontinence issue.

It sounds like he may have a urinary tract infection. This isn’t as common in male dogs but it can happen. He may be eating his poop out of stress from a possible infection m. I would suggest taking him in to your vet first chance you get to have his urine tested and get him treated. I hope he gets better soon and stops having accidents in his kennel. That's not good that Brody ate those gummy bears! If they weren't sugar free, you may see some GI upset at most. As for the indoor accidents, when a dog who is normally potty trained starts having accidents in the house, this can be a sign of a medical issue such as a UTI or bladder stones. It could also be he has an increase in drinking leading to an increase in urination. A disease like diabetes can cause this as well. I'd have him seen by a vet in the morning to be safe. Hi, sorry to hear Oly isn't feeling well. There is a chance he can have a urinary tract infection, which will cause a dog to urinate frequently and in small amounts. This can be treated by a vet with antibiotics. I recommend bringing him to see a vet if these symptoms persist. There is no home remedy you can do for this. It is not an emergency unless he is not urinating or seems to be in pain. I suggest taking him to the vet tomorrow and bringing a urine sample if possible, or not allowing him to urinate at least an hour or so before the appointment so they can get a sample. Poor Matisse! It would depend on the type of plant he ate, but I would suspect more that a UTI is the cause his excess peeing. I would call the vet in the morning to make an appointment.
