My dog ate gummy bears and is peeing a lot. Should I call the vet?

I’m sorry to hear about Bruno! I am concerned that he might have developed a urinary tract infection. There is one medication (prednisone/prednisolone) they can caused increased urination and drinking but those should stop as soon as the medication was stopped. The UTI may be even more likely if he’s recently hurt his back or neck because they tend not to posture/squat all the way or for long enough when it hurts. So they hold their urine longer than they might otherwise do or don’t empty their bladder fully. These can predispose to UTI. Take Bruno (and a urine sample if you can catch one) in to the vet to do a urine test and get on antibiotics if that’s what it turns out to be. You don't indicate whether Opal is spayed or not, but I would add that urination while sleeping is often a sign of a condition called hormonal incontinence (also "spay incontinence") which is caused by the lack of estrogen that happens once we spay dogs. I would definitely get her checked out as she may have a UTI as Dr. Melanie indicated, or an incontinence issue.

I am sorry to hear about Beaux! It could be that he ingested something high in sodium/salt and this is causing his excessive thirst, but we do worry about things like grapes and raisins causing kidney issues, so if anything of that nature was in the trash I would recommend an exam right away, or if any medications could have been in the trash. If the excessive drinking continues past today, or if he begins vomiting or acting lethargic a visit to the vet today is recommended as we do worry about them developing an obstruction of the intestinal tract if they swallow something that gets stuck, or pancreatitis. If Bo is only exhibiting an increase in water intake and urination then you should be okay to wait to schedule an appointment on Monday to see his regular veterinarian. This can sometimes be due to the high environmental temperatures this time of year, but you can certainly see this with urinary tract disease/infections or with metabolic disorders (less likely since Bo is less than 1 year old). In the meantime, monitor Bo for the onset of lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, inappetance or decrease in appetite, or any more severe signs (seizure, pale mucous membranes, etc). If any of these signs are noted, then he should be examined by an emergency veterinarian immediately.

I would take LittleBit into the vet in the morning for a physical exam, routine blood tests, and a urinalysis to diagnose what is causing her to have accidents in the home. Once a cause is diagnosed, the vet can prescribe a treatment.

It sounds like the diarrhea is resolving, so as long as that continues I wouldn't worry about seeing your vet. You can gradually transition back to his usual diet once the stool seems mostly formed. Urinating inside can occasionally be a sign of a urinary tract infection, urinary disease, or a disease that is causing dilute urine. If Louis seems to urinate more frequently or has another accident I'd recommend having your vet examine him and check a urine sample.
