My puppy ate soap, vomited, and had loose stool. Is it a blockage?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | unneutered | 15 lbs

My puppy ate a small soft bar of soap. Probably 1/5 of what would be a new bar. Threw up a good chunk, and had one loose bowel movement. It has been 36 hours since the vomit and 24 hours since the stool. Does this sound like blockage? Has been eating and as entergetic as ever.

HE isn't likely to be blocked, the vomiting and diarrhea is to be expected due to the ingestion of the soap. as long as he is eating normally and is energetic you have no reason to suspect a blockage. stools may only appear after 48 hours due to the diarrhea that probably cleaned the whole intestines.
