Is it normal for a 7-month-old puppy to sleep most of the day?

This is normal, and I would be thankful that she does not seem to have separation anxiety or destructive tendencies when left alone. You sound like an an extremely caring and attentive owner as well. At 3 months of age she should still be fed 3 times a day and/or have food available for her all day to prevent hypoglycemia or low blood sugar which can happen fairly easily with small breed puppies. Puppies need a lot of sleep just like human babies do and will change as Sugar gets older. As long as Sugar is normal otherwise (is eating and drinking normally, has normal stool and urine, etc), I wouldn't worry too much. I hope this helps!

It can be normal for a puppy this age to go through stages where they are sleeping more during the day, however if it seems extreme or if you have noticed any other changes in appetite, overall attitude, or elimination habits you may want to have Mack examined by your veterinarian.

In general this is ok. As long as she seems to be enjoying the activity. She will catch up on sleep when she gets home. If something were to change in her health (like a chronic illness), then this behavior would be detrimental but for a healthy young dog, it's generally ok. This is very normal as a seven week old puppy is still an infant, and just like human infants will wake and cry at night. Tiring her out right before bed with a long play session, and then getting up 1-2 times in the night for a potty break can help reduce her distress and help her sleep longer. As she gets older, she should sleep more through the night.

It is likely he is going through a growth spurt. Especially since he is a large breed dog. He will have days like this probably until he reaches puberty around 6-8 months of age. No worries. As long as he is eating drinking and using the potty normally I wouldn't be too concerned about it. I wish your puppy well!
