My kitten is hungry, what can I feed him if I ran out of food?

Yes I suspect it's the kitten food causing Buddy to have an upset stomach and vomit. Sudden changes in diet can lead to these symptoms. Feed him a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones or skin) in small amounts a couple times a day for a few days, the start slowly adding in his normal diet. If he refuses to eat the bland diet, vomits the bland diet, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, continues to have diarrhea, has blood in his stool, and/or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet immediately. If there are only two available foods for kittens in your geographic region I would feed the one that your cat is most likely to consume without problems. If for some reason your cat begins to have issues with that type of food I would feed the other one but consider adding something like chicken broth or tuna juice to it. Hope this helps!

Cats can eat boiled white meat chicken. It should be plain. This is fine to feed for an unspent tummy or as a treat but this not balanced. Cats and kittens need to eat a balanced diet long term. I hope this helps.

Hello! Boiled chicken typically is fine to give to cats, but in small amounts, and without any seasonings or added ingredients. You should consider any "human food" to be a treat for your pet, and give small amounts every once in a while. Treats should only make up 10% or less of your pet's overall diet. Sweet little kittens! I'm sorry we weren't able to get to your question sooner. A kitten food is needed for both of them; boiled chicken breast is fine as a part of the diet but shouldn't be the sole food... isn't nutritionally balanced the way a kitten food is. You can feed your cat canned tuna, chicken, other meats (just cook them as you would for yourself), potatoes, carrots, pumpkin/squash. There are other foods as well. Avoid toxic foods (grapes, onions, garlic, raisins, chocolate) and very fatty foods, but just give a bit of your food. Spicy food should be avoided as well. Best of luck with your kitty!

Cows milk is not good to give to kittens because cats are lactose intolerant and it causes GI upset. Feed Tom a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet.
