Can my kitten eat boiled chicken? Is it healthier for them than milk?

Cats can eat boiled white meat chicken. It should be plain. This is fine to feed for an unspent tummy or as a treat but this not balanced. Cats and kittens need to eat a balanced diet long term. I hope this helps.

As a general rule, I always recommend the diet be predominantly a commercial dog or cat food to ensure your puppy and kitten are getting all the essential vitamins and minerals they need. If you want to add some plain boiled chicken to their diet as a treat that should be fine. Just keep in mind that only about 10% of their diets should come from treats. The other 90% should come from a complete and balanced diet.

It would ideally best to give good quality cat food for kittens as the diet would be more balanced and nutritionally complete to match all his needs. Cow milk is not necessary (even diluted) and can cause diarrhoea. Hello, and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Small bits of cooked chicken can be a good treat for a cat, but I would stay away from the other foods you mentioned. None of those foods are dangerous, but cheese and milk can cause diarrhea and GI upset, and crackers & bread are not very nutritious for cats. Better to stick with little bits of cooked meat. I highly recommend a balanced puppy food (Purina puppy chow for example) as her main source of nutrition while she transitions from nursing and onwards. She can have small pieces of chicken as treats or for training.

I would recommend a completely balanced cat food. I am not sure how old she is, but some recommended brands are: Royal Canin, Hill's Science, Evo (Innova) or Eukanuba. She should be eating three times a day (kitten food) if she is still a kitten and 2 times a day (adult food) if she is an adult cat. Best of luck with your pet Pearl.

Too much human food adds extra calories a cat doesn't need. In addition, it can make them picky, as they tend to like human food better and then won't eat their cat food. It's fine to give as an occasional treat, but I actually never give my cats human food at all. For a treat for them, I give them Temptations or canned food. I hope this helps!
