My cat has urinary issues, vomiting, and lethargy. Is it serious?

I'd be very concerned that Skywalker has a urinary blockage (meaning he cannot fully release all the urine in his bladder). This is a medical emergency and he should be examined by a veterinarian right away. The blockage can be related to a plug of blood cells or bladder stones or urinary crystals. This blockage may require catherterization to remove and can be life threatening if not cleared. There is also a chance that Skywalker has feline lower urinary tract Disease which can also cause these signs. This also requires veterinary care to help treat so again, please take Skywalker to see a veterinarian right away. I would recommend having Oscar examined by a veterinarian right away. Male cats can develop urethral blockages that only allow them to urinate small amounts (or not at all). This can become life-threatening if not treated right away. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Prince! From your pictures his eyes are a bit more dilated than normal. I am worried about your description of his symptoms. Has he been urinating? How old is he? It is possible that the old treats have caused an upset stop but it is probably a bit unlikely. I highly recommend having him seen today when your Vet opens, especially if you haven't seen him urinate since he started getting sick. Not being able to urinate for male cats is an emergency. Other possibilities are: viral or bacterial infection, toxin ingestion or he ate something causing a blockage. If he is old I would worry about kidney or liver disease and cancer. Persistent vomiting and anorexia are signs of significant illness in cats, either from fever, infection or inflammation. Urinary obstruction leads to dangerous toxin build up and potential kidney injury and hospital treatment is necessary immediately and may include intravenous fluids and medications. Occasionally kidney damage can be irreversible

I would recommend a further check up and blood test as renal issues can come up many hours/days later than initial presentation. Incontinence can be secondary to lack of bladder contraction due to over-distended bladder (due to blockage), there are anyway medications available to help contraction. I am assuming he is trying to urinate often but nothing happens. This is an emergency. Your Hobo likely has a urethral obstruction and is not able to urinate. This is a life threatening condition. This may also be the reason why he is vomiting. Hobo needs to be taken to a PetER right away to have his urethra unblocked. Oh naughty Loki for eating string! If he is more lethargic than usual and isn't eating, I would take him into the vet right away. It is possible there is still more string instead his intestines, and he should be examined by a vet now. If there is still string in his GI tract, then he will need surgery to remove it.
