My male cat is vomiting, peeing on floor, and seems in pain.

Please make sure he is passing urine. As you know male cats can get a urinary blockage that can quickly become life threatening. If he’s not urinating that is a medical emergency so take him in right away to have him checked. Vomiting and lethargy can be a sign also. They can get kidney damage from this too. As a male cat, he's at an increased risk of developing a urethral obstruction, which is a blockage that prevents him from emptying his bladder. Some cats can develop partial blockages, which allow them to still dribble small amounts of urine, but even this are a major problem. If Prince has a urethral obstruction, this is an immediately life-threatening emergency. You should take him to an emergency veterinarian right away for treatment. I am assuming he is trying to urinate often but nothing happens. This is an emergency. Your Hobo likely has a urethral obstruction and is not able to urinate. This is a life threatening condition. This may also be the reason why he is vomiting. Hobo needs to be taken to a PetER right away to have his urethra unblocked. I would be very suspicious that he had a urinary blockage, was able to pass the obstructing material and that's when he got all wet and litter covered and may have passed blood. It would be the best plan if action to take him to your veterinarian for an exam and a urinalysis. Explain exactly what is going on. He may have an infection, crystalsi in his urine or bladder stones. If he was obstructed, he could do it again very soon and this can be a life threatening emergency.

Otherwise, cats can develop bladder crystals, a urinary tract infection, or cystitis (an inflammation of the bladder). Given that Minx is a young male cat and having abnormal urinations and likely blood in his urine, I suspect that he may be suffering from Feline Idiopathic Cystitis (FIC), or inflammation in the lower urinary tract. This is causing him difficulty urinating, and painful urination. I recommend having him seen by a veterinarian right away, before he becomes fully "blocked", meaning unable to pass any urine at all. This is a life-threatening emergency, and requires rapid veterinary attention. Your veterinarian will perform a physical exam and likely recommend bloodwork to evaluate the severity of his urinary tract disease. FIC is a treatable condition, but again, if he becomes unable to pass any urine at all, he can experience acute kidney failure and develop fatal heart rhythms. I hope this is helpful!
