My cat is suddenly peeing little, lethargic, and meowing. Is it serious?

Please make sure he is passing urine. As you know male cats can get a urinary blockage that can quickly become life threatening. If he’s not urinating that is a medical emergency so take him in right away to have him checked. Vomiting and lethargy can be a sign also. They can get kidney damage from this too. Oh dear, poor Prince! I'm extremely concerned that he is vocalizing and has been in and out of the litter box. As a male cat, he's at an increased risk of developing a urethral obstruction, which is a blockage that prevents him from emptying his bladder. Some cats can develop partial blockages, which allow them to still dribble small amounts of urine, but even this are a major problem. If Prince has a urethral obstruction, this is an immediately life-threatening emergency. You should take him to an emergency veterinarian right away for treatment. Hello! Leopold could have a partial urinary blockage, which is an emergency! Ideally, take him to see his vet ASAP, so they can check him over. If his bladder is not emptying properly, he will need to be catheterized. Male cats of this age rarely get bladder infections, so a partial blockage is much much likely. Cats get crystals in their urine, which plug up their system. I hope he feels better soon!

There is always a worry with male cats about a urethral blockage when they show this behavior. It's good you know to have him seen by a vet for this. If you see him trying to pee but nothing is coming out, he's yowling when trying to pee, his pee appears very bloody, he's lethargic, vomiting, refusing to eat, and/or he is licking his genitals a lot, you must take him into an ER vet right away. Otherwise, you can wait until tomorrow. Feed him wet food and add water to it to flush his bladder. I hope this helps!

Poor Bear! He definitely needs to see a veterinarian right away as this can be a sign of serious bladder issues like cystitis, lower urinary tract disease, bladder stones, or urinary blockage. A urinary blockage is a life threatening emergency so Bear needs to see a veterinarian immediately for treatment. A veterinarian can examine Bear to see if he has a blockage and if necessary pass a urinary catheter and give Bear fluids. This condition, if allowed to progress, can even be life threatening. I recommend having Cornelius seen by a vet as soon as possible - he should be seen right away if he has blood in his urine, begins urinating in abnormal areas, or you note that he is straining to urinate (leaves only small amounts of urine after spending longer in the litter box). Poor Max! It's very concerning that he is crying when urinating, and I would check him to see if he is straining while urinating and if no urine is coming out. Crying when urinating can indicate a blockage by bladder stones, and the other symptoms seen are straining and producing no urine. A blockage is a medical emergency which is fatal without treatment, and if he straining and producing no urine, you have to get him into a vet right away. There will be a vet on call in your area for emergencies, and the information to reach that vet will be on their answering machine or website. I would find a vet on call to have him seen now, if he is blocked it absolutely cannot wait until the morning.
