Guinea Pig loves it. She uses it constantly for her teeth and even her nails, which is great because they’re pretty sharp. Wish they had the little cage salt holder for side ways bar cages and not upward though. Usually have to tape it on due to that.

Giving a hamster a salt lick is like giving a kid a bowlful of suger, it’s WAY to much and with the food that petco is selling hamsters will have plenty of sugar already, and by chew sticks for them to chew on!

A chinchilla will DIE if they injest too much salt. This should NOT be advertised with a picture of a chinchilla or with chinchillas in the list of animals it's used for. I repeat, this will KILL YOUR CHINCHILLA DO NOT BUY IT FOR THEM!

    Hi cutieamber, Most animals instinctually know if they need salt in their diet, and if provided in the form of a wheel/lick that the animal can self-engage (e.g. not sprinkled on food or in water), there is no harm in offering. Thanks,
