- I think it would work for gerbils. I think the rule of thumb is their backs shouldn't be arched when running - to ensure it is the proper size.

Hello! Would this wheel be ok for fancy mice?
- Hi Amber, for mice an 8 inch wheel is recommended at minimum, to prevent their tails from becoming permanently bent up from excessive time spent lifted at an unnatural angle. If this happens it becomes very uncomfortable for the mice because the tail is an extension of their spine.

I am not sure how to remove the metal stand! I tried pulling it but it won't budge... I'm afraid to use too much force and break it.
- Turn the knob on the wheel, it will loosen so you can pull it off. Make sure to tighten it. Also a tip, if it starts to squeak, a dab of vegetable oil will get it running quietly again.

Would this work for a fancy hamster I just got one and it needs a wheel but I don't want it to make noise or be to big or small I would do anything to make my little hamster happy

Will this wheel be okay for my Chinese hamster?
- My Chinese Hamster loved hers, probably more than all the other types I had. Do not get the small, as Chinese Hamsters are long & have tails. The medium is a perfect size & will keep your hamster fit & happy!

is this wheel big enough for a hybrid dwarf hammy
- I buy the medium size for my Chinese dwarf hamster, which because of their small tail that other hamsters do not have make them longer. I have also bought the medium for Syrian. The small are too small for dwarfs (maybe okay for babies) and the large seem to be much to large for hamsters. It should fit your hammy well. There are no wheels better then these in my opinion.

Is this wheel suitable for hedgehogs?
- I'd use a larger size for hedgies, actually. The "chinchilla" size wheel may seem really large, but your hedgehog will be happier. I use this size for my dwarf hamster which is much smaller than a hedgehog.
