Whether you have a simple freshwater or a large marine aquarium, you need a fish tank pump. These aquarium pumps help circulate and filter the water in your tank in order to maintain good water quality. As a pet parent, it’s crucial that you help maintain a good quality of life for the plants and fish in your aquarium. Read on for help choosing the right pump for your tank.
Consider a submersible aquarium pump. Submersible aquarium pumps are designed to run under water, and are therefore quieter than inline pumps.
Each fish tank pump will come with its own usage instructions. Be sure to check the packaging and inserts for help setting up.
The right aquarium pump depends on the size of your tank, the needs of the aquatic life you keep, and a number of other factors. At Petco, we have a wide variety to suit even the pickiest fishkeeper.

Help! The submersible pump on my 3.7 gallon is making loud motor sounds and spitting out small bubbles that by morning cover the whole top of the tank. I’m scared for my fishes life what should I do?
So I've been thinking about getting an axolotl, but I'm a bit confused as I've never had any type of aquarium. My question is: I've been told to get an Aquaclear 50 HBO filter (plus a sponge one for extra bio media), and to slow the flow by placing plants and things under it. But this specific model's slowest flow is 250 l/h, which might be too little for a 90l tank. But if I set it up to 370 or so (which I find would be the best), the flow might be too strong for the axie! Any solutions? <3

We are new to having aquariums, we really didn't realize so many things played a factor with the water. We currently have a 10 gallon tank but want to increase to a 29 gallon tank. We currently buy gallons of water but with the 29 gallon tank we really don't want to have to do that. We have well water with a salt filter. My levels from to tap was nitrate 10, nitrite 0, hardness 0, chlorine 0, alk 100, ph 7.. is my tap water safe even with the salt filter.
Going to be bringing a few guppies home, probably all females for simplicity sake. We have the 10 gallon tank, master test kit, heater, filter, some Omega One guppy food, and the proper decorations. But I would like to know any tips on how to safely bring them home in my car. (We still have to cycle the tank, so no rush.) We will be getting them from an actual pet store, definitely no Walmart or Meijer fish as those tend to be much less healthy.
