Quit Working

It did not work more than a couple of weeks before it quit sucking in and expelling water. It made noises but nothing more. It had nothing in it which should have blocked the water. I have replaced it with a very old pump which is doing the trick.

No, I do not recommend this product.

This little pump was just installed on my fountain after the one that was on it went after over 15 years of use. It has no problem pushing water through a 1/2" pipe up 3 feet for my fountain. Very happy with this product!

Yes, I recommend this product.

This is my third Pondmaster pump. I like the valve to regulate flow which is important in fountain applications. Once again I believe the in pond or inline option allows greater flexibility than a single design. Works great just as expected.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought a backyard water fountain with a pump that I assumed was old, but have nothing to support that. The pump failed fairly quickly and so I ordered the exact same thing that was in it: Mag-Drive Utility Pumps Model 1.9. Within 3 weeks this pump failed in the exact same way. It sounds as though it is still work, however it stops pumping. I have a replacement being sent to me at no expense but am already researching what comes after this one if it reacts the same way. I would NOT buy this pump

No, I do not recommend this product.

Is it self priming if the pump sits 2' above water

No-where in the instructions tells you what size adapter you need to install a fountain? Does anyone know the size or where I can get one? My bell fountain has a 1 inch tube.

    1. it come with 3/4" size. You need to get enlarger to 1". Local store can get the parts easily.

can this be used as an inline pump?

    1. Thank you for your question. This pump can be used inline. The inlet accepts 3/8" ID or 1/2" ID vinyl tubing. ajl
