Does this pump produce 1800 or 1400 GPH? Your advertisement states both. Which one is it? Thank you
- The pump is rated at 1800 gallons per hour (GPH) with nothing connected to it, but actually only produces a max of about 1500 GPH as soon as you hook up the plumbing and filter. The GPH continues to drop if you install it at the bottom of the pond and it has to lift the water up to your filter. My pressure filter is 5 ft. above where the pump is and therefore the GPH drops to about 1100 GPH.
