For decades, FRONTLINE has led the charge against fleas and ticks, delivering vet-trusted, pet-tested, fast-acting, long-lasting topical treatments that stop fleas and tick infestations cold. Since every pet is different, FRONTLINE offers a diverse lineup of products to meet the unique lifestyle needs—and parasitic threats—facing your pet.
FRONTLINE brand products provide pet parents with easy, effective, topical flea and tick treatments from a global leader in parasite protection. FRONTLINE Plus, FRONTLINE Shield and FRONTLINE Gold all contain active ingredients that target both adult fleas and ticks, as well as flea eggs and larvae to break the flea life cycle for good.
For FRONTLINE Gold, remove one applicator tube from the packaging and hold it in an upright position pointed away from your face. Twist the dispensing tip clockwise about ½ turn while pushing down to break the tube's seal. Do not remove the dispensing tip. Before applying, make sure your pet is dry and can remain dry for 48 hours after application. Position the dispensing tip on your pet’s back between shoulder blades. Use the dispensing tip to part your pet’s hair so that the product will be applied at skin level. Begin squeezing out the contents of the tube to form a stripe as you move from shoulder blades down along your pet’s back to the base of their tail. Do not bathe your pet within 48 hours of application.
For FRONTLINE Shield, remove the applicator from the packaging and hold the tube upright away from you and your dog’s face. Cut the applicator tip with scissors to open, then apply the entire contents of the applicator directly onto your pet’s skin in 1 to 4 sites—this changes according to your pet’s size, so read the label for full instructions before use—squeezing the applicator until empty. Ensure that FRONTLINE Shield for Dogs is not applied superficially on dog's hair.
No prescription is required, so you can browse Petco’s selection of FRONTLINE treatments for cats and dogs online and place your order at petco.com, or shop at your neighborhood Petco Pet Care Center.
To apply FRONTLINE Plus, simply remove the applicator from its blister packaging, then hold the tube upright with foil side toward you and snap the applicator tip. Part your pet’s hair between shoulder blades and place the applicator tip just above the skin, then squeeze. Apply the entire contents of the applicator in a single spot directly onto your pet’s skin. Avoid contact with the treated area until dry.
FRONTLINE Plus contains the active ingredients fipronil, which is used in the treatment of fleas, ticks and chewing lice, and the insect growth regulator (S)-methoprene, which kills flea eggs and flea larvae, as well.

Can you use Simparica with Frontline plus or should I wait until the end of Frontline Plus skin dosing ? At three weeks post Frontline dose now, moved to a condo with a dog park and fleas are a problem
My dog has a flea infestation. I used Frontline Gold on him on July 11th; however, I'm still finding fleas and flea dust on him. Is there anything I can use in conjunction with the Frontline. Maybe something natural until I can use more Frontline next month?
What is the difference between advantix and frontline plus? I've ordered frontline plus but am worried by some reviews that it doesn't work well. Should I use advantix instead? Right now, I'm using frontline spray.
Can I give Bravecto approximately two weeks after applying frontline to my dogs? Their fleas came back with a vengeance after applying the frontline and they are miserable
Can I combine Frontline and a Soresto collar on a dog? The collars weren't treating ticks but the frontline isn't treating fleas.
I gave my cat Frontline Plus but I am thinking of trying a Seresto collar now since Frontline isn’t working. Can I go ahead and use the seresto collar if the Frontline hasn’t completely worn off yet? Are the Seresto collars safe for cats with severe flea dermatitis?
I understand that fleas have become resistant to frontline plus . My dogs and maybe cat have cheyletiella and I'm wondering if these mites are also resistant to frontline. What products would you suggest I use?
I cannot get rid of my cat's fleas. I have tried Frontline, and the natural oil products sold at Petcoach, nothing works. I did the Frontline then 2 weeks later the oils, then 2 weeks after that the frontline again then just 4 days later the oil and still nothing..he still has fleas.
Hi! Can Frontline Plus and Seresto be safely combined for a medium/large cat? He’s had Frontline Plus administered two weeks ago for fleas, and I’m specifically wondering whether a Seresto collar can safely be used for supemental protection — especially when he goes outside, and while I’m working to get the house flea-free — before the next monthly dose of Frontline. Thanks!
Hello. I gave my one year old cat Frontline spot on for fleas yesterday and I have still seen no effect. How long do spot ons take to kill fleas and is Frontline effective?
Does frontline homegard work well? IT seems to be the only thing available in Egypt, where I am living. I am dealing with early stages of flea infestation and trying to see what is best to do. I've put his bedding to wash, vaccumed carpet and couch area and applied Frontline spray yesterday (frontline spot on is not available here). I still see him itching. I will ask my vet here, but am wondering what you recommend I do? Any home remedies that have worked?
Hi. I will be going to Woodstock NY with my family, which includes my 20 pound 5 year old cockapoo, Winston. we have been using Frontline plus every month (in between the scapulae). I am concerned about Ticks since we will probably be doing a fair amount of hiking, I have read that Frontline Plus in addition to the Prevetic collar is ok, but Frontline plus in addition to the Seresto collar "you should ask a veterinarian” Do you feel the combo is ok, and that it might give better protection?
