Why is my spayed dog peeing so much and sometimes has bloody urine?

It is not normal for blood to be present in a dog's urine, although it is possible to get a false positive on a urine dipstick. I would recommend having a veterinarian perform a microscopic examination of a urine sample. A urinary tract infection would be the most common cause of blood in the urine of a young dog.

If she was spayed at the time of surgery, it seems like the bleeding would have resolved by now. She could have acquired a urinary tract infection though. I would contact her veterinarian to see if a urine sample needs to be tested. Most of the time a small needle will be used to collect the sample directly from the bladder.
