What's the safe Zofer dose for my vomiting 2-year-old female Labrador?

Ondansetron (Zofran) can cause constipation and atrial fibrillation even at normal doses. A normal dose would be 0.5mg to 1mg/kg twice daily, so your dog clearly got an overdose. If it has been over 24 hours since Lola vomited I think I would give one more dose of zofran and then discontinue the medication. As long as she is eating normally and does not continue to vomit I don't think you have much to worry about. However, if the vomiting starts again you may want to restart the zofran and have Lola examined by an emergency veterinarian (especially with her history of PLN). I am not sure what your pets weight is, but this medication is given at a dosage of 1-2 mg/kg and as high as 3mg/kg daily dosage can be given to pets. I also don’t know what mg dosage your pets Lovan is, since this medication comes in about 3 different dosages. 1 lb=2.2 kg’s. So a 20 lb dog can take around 30 mg of medication daily. As far as toxicity is concerned, around 15.9mg/kg daily dosage can lead to toxicity in dogs. I hope this helps. The hydroxyzine is an approved medication in dogs and his normal dose would be 50 mg twice a day. You are unlikely to notice any side effects from that tablet. However cymbalta is not used in dogs but his toxic dose for his weight is around 300-400 mg. The side effects of that medication include vomiting, disorientation, lethargy and tremors. If it has been under an hour you can induce vomiting and see if he throws anything up so it won't be absorbed. If it is longer than hour you can watch for those symptoms.

The usual dose rate is 3-5mg per kilogram bodyweight, given twice daily. So, her dose would be between 41.5 and 70mg. I don't think 75mg would be harmful. If you want to use ginger you need to use fresh ginger: grate and use 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon orally about 20-30 minutes prior to travel. Give with just a small amount of food (a couple small bites). I have had a few clients give a ~2 ginger snap cookies instead of the fresh ginger and they said it worked. I am not familiar with the liquid ginger and cannot make a recommendation without seeing the bottle to see how much is in it. If you want to post again with some photos of the bottle you are welcome to do so. If the ginger (in whatever form) does not work then I suggest you use Dramamine 1/2 to 1 full tablet about 30 minutes prior to travel. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

This is a rather big overdose, but this drug is relatively safe to overdose. Signs of an overdose can be vomiting and muscle tremors. If you don't see any of these after eight hours, then she will be fine. If you do see vomiting and tremors, then it's best to take her to the vet for treatment and monitoring.
